Ty's POV:

"Owww..."

Every part of me is super sore. Especially my neck. Although every part of me wants to hate Jerome for everything, I can't. He's not him. He doesn't know what he's doing to everyone. I know that if he was sane, he would never have hurt Mitch the way he did. Doesn't change the fact he is insane right now though.

Adam is passed out on the chair in front of me. I'm tied on tightly to my chair like always. The one thing that is different is the guy sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of me.

"AAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!"

He slams his hand over my mouth swiftly, shutting off any sound I could attempt to make.

"Do you want Jerome to kill you?"

I shake my head and he lets go of my mouth.

"Good. Cause I don't want to die."

"What are you here for?"

"I'm here to save you."

"Who are you?"

"You'll see."

So far, the only thing I could see of my savior is his silhouette. It's too dark to see anything else. I don't know how, but he cuts the ropes that are holding Adam and I to our chairs. Slinging us over each of his shoulders like rag dolls, he runs out of the room, out of the house, out of the city.

I know this guy isn't human and I start to freak a little. Who the hell can run this freaking fast? He's going at probably like 200 miles an hour! Before I can think too much, I'm dropped on the green grass in front of an abandoned mansion. Looking up, I see my saviors face. It's him. The dude who kissed Adam.

I feel rage taking over my features. Who does this guy think he is? He holds his hands out in a friendly gesture, but if can see caution in his eyes.

"Don't be angry, please. I brought you here to keep you safe."

"How can I trust you?"

"You can't, but right now, I'm all you got."

He gestures for me to come into the house, Adam still slung over his shoulder. I follow him up endless stairs, up down, left right left right. Geez. About the time when I feel like I'm going to collapse, he walks through a door and into a bedroom. He tucks in Adam and turns to me.

"Sit down, I need to patch you up. I'll patch up Adam later."

He walks out of the room for a couple seconds and returns with a first aid kit. He starts to disinfect all of my wounds.

"Some of these might need stitches... They're pretty bad."

"I didn't catch your name."

"Jake. The name's Jake."

Jakes POV:

Ty is beat up pretty bad... He might need stitches. If only I had found out sooner...

-Before rescue-

"Can you at least try to find them?"

"Mitch... I have literally no clue where they are. They could be across the world for all I know!"

"Please, just try to find them. If they were okay, they would answer my calls right?"

"Maybe their phones are off..."

Mitch gives me a glare that kind of scares me. Just a little bit. Whys he so crazy about this? I mean, maybe they're spending some alone time together.

"Okay, but promise you'll stay here?"

"Where else would I go?"

Good point. I push the window open and jump out. Turning into a raven, I fly towards the geometric shapes on the horizon.

-10 minutes later-

I'm here. Jerome's house. Let's be honest right here, I don't want to talk to him. He'd probably strangle me the second he opened those doors. I quickly push the doorbell and hide in a nearby tree. No one comes out.

Turning back into a human I hop down from the tree. Is the door unlocked? Hesitantly, I grab the metal doorknob and twist. Surprisingly, it pops open. Someone's been slacking lately. I silently walk into the house, my ears straining for the slightest noise from anything or anywhere.

Ugh, what's that smell?! It smells like... Blood. Dashing down the stairs I run towards the source of the smell. The basement. This door is locked. Guess we're going to have to do this the hard way. Stepping back, I run towards the door and kick it open. Actually, more like I broke a huge hole in it. Whoops.

Two bodies. Tied to chairs. Man, I don't even know this guy anymore... Walking over to them I stick my finger under their noses. Thank God, they're alive. Are these Mitch's friends? Yeah, this one looks like Adam and the other, his boyfriend. I sit in front of the boyfriend and wait for him to wake up.

-end of flashback-

Good thing Mitch told me to go look. They could be dead right now if it wasn't for him. I'll thank him later, even if he is all like I told you so.

I finally reach the living room where Mitch is curled up on the couch reading a book. When I come in, his face brightens like the sun. A familiar feeling courses through me at the sight of him. Oh no. No no no no no. I can't let this happen again. He loves Jerome and nothing's going to take them apart. Even if he's a raging psychopath.

"Uh... Jake? You alright?"

Snapping out of my thoughts I grin at him.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

He looks like he doesn't believe me, but he doesn't push it.

"So... Did you find them?"

"Yeah. Actually, I did."

"Are they okay? Where are they? Did they say anything?"

"You can go upstairs and ask them."

"They're upstairs?!"

"Yeah in the room next to yours. The one on the left."

He throws his arms around me and gives me a peck on the cheek. Grinning he runs up the stairs to his room. Goddamn Mitch! Could you make this any harder for me?

Jerome's POV:

How? How did they escape?! I tied them to chairs with my best knots and they still managed to get away. Not to mention without a trace. When I find those two I will knock them senseless! Wait what? No. I can't do that. They're my friends...

I can feel the two sides pulling at me. One good, one bad. I think the bad is winning, that's why I beat them up. A part of me tells me not to but another part knows I like it. How it makes me feel powerful and not just some dude hiding behind a computer screen.

Where is that person that was supposed to be here for me in times like this? Where was that person when my mind started to spin out of control? Where is the person that helped me sleep at night?

Anger courses through me and overpowers my sadness. He will pay for abandoning me, he will pay. I'll put him through just what I'm going through now. After that, I know he'll never be the same. Just like me Mitchell. Just like me.
