The thoughts hadn't bothered him immediately, but once he was coherent enough Logan couldn't stop re-assessing it.

What the hell had happened? Why had he not said something? Asked something?

What would he even ask?

The answer to every single one of those questions was that Logan didn't know, and he hated it with every fiber of his being. He felt like he was suddenly grasping at straws, where he was usually so knowledgeable about things.

It took him nearly four days to figure out anything that might even remotely explain his reactions, and what he'd been experiencing. He was incredibly distracted, and a few people asked if anything was okay. Logan told them he was just working on something that was keeping his attention.

Finally it clicked, and oh god. Was he... was he experiencing a crush?

Disgusting.

Logan sat down in the library at school, opening a personal notebook to a new page. He picked up his pen, intent on noting his thoughts to analyze them.

Where should he start with this?

He really didn't like not knowing things.

He began to scribble, trying to just follow his thought process. It worked for a few minutes, but he suddenly found himself more caught up with thinking about Dorrian and not paying attention to the paper anymore.

Logan groaned quietly, slammed the notebook shut, and thumped his head down onto the cover.

"What's wrong, nerdy Wolverine?" A teasing voice asked above him. Logan blindly flipped whichever twin it was off. He didn't want to bother differentiating, either of them would deserve it.

"Okay, what's wrong?"

Roman, then. Remus would just continue the mockery. Logan lifted his head.

"I have a problem."

Roman raised his eyebrows, sitting down across from him. "Oh, is that so? Thought there wasn't an issue you couldn't fix, Fangs."

"And I thought you promised to stop using that nickname." Logan retorted, glaring at him.

"Sorry, sorry. So what's your problem? Can I help?"

Logan paused. Could Roman help? Probably.

Did he want him to help?

He sighed and checked the time. "Come with me."

"Ooooh, secrets secrets, they're so fun-"

"Don't finish that." Logan snapped, packing his things haphazardly and grabbing Roman's wrist to drag him along.

"Wow, you're being an a**- well, more than usual." Roman commented as they walked. "What's up?"

Logan shook his head. "Just wait."

He picked a smaller boys bathroom off a side hallway and dragged Roman into it. He dug in his backpack for a moment and pulled out a small key ring.

"Are those skeleton keys?" Roman asked as Logan used one to lock the bathroom's door after checking to make sure all the stalls were empty. "Where'd you get those?"

"Being a teacher's pet gets you more than you'd think." Logan pocketed the key ring and turned back to him. "Now, I'm going to tell you what I'm struggling with, and you're going to not be a d*ck about it. Got that? Because otherwise I swear I will break your nose."

Roman's eyebrows shot up, and he grinned. "Hey, I'm an easygoing dude! I won't be a d*ck, you're clearly upset about something and it's my duty to help my friends."

Logan huffed, running his hands through his hair. "I... I am not used to dealing with things like this."

"Whoa whoa whoa, chill out Chosen One- you'll never get your hair back the way you want it if you do keep doing that."

"Least of my worries."

Roman crossed his arms. "What's wrong, Logan?"

Logan looked at him, down at the floor, and then at the ceiling.

"I think it may be possible I have developed feelings for someone, I believe it's called a 'crush'."

He'd expected Roman to laugh, or to start teasing him. Even asking who it was would have been completely within Logan's range of prediction.

"Oh Logan." Roman breathed, his expression almost reverent. "Oooh."

He pulled Logan into a hug and Logan froze up.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"You've never dealt with this before, have you? Oh that's gotta be so painful- is there any way I can help? Would you like advice? Whatever you need, I can do it." Roman backed up and reached up to touch Logan's face.

"Don't touch me." Logan pushed his hands away. "I just... I don't know what to do. I see him every day-"

"So you are gay! I thought so."

"Demiromantic asexual, Roman."

Roman nodded immediately. "Oh, okay, that makes sense. Sorry, continue."

"I only just came to this conclusion, and I'm not sure how to deal with it. I don't feel comfortable bringing the matter up to him, but it has become incredibly distracting and I have more important things to concern myself with."

"Okay..." Roman screwed his face up, thinking. "Give me a minute to think about this...."

Logan sighed and pulled out the notebook he'd been writing in before. He wasn't sure what he was going to do with it, but the thought of ripping the pages up and flushing them down the toilet was crossing his mind.

"So there's probably a few things you can do. You could A. Ignore the feelings completely until you feel comfortable enough to re-confront them. B." Roman ticked off on his fingers as he talked. "Tell them right away, consequences be d*mned- that happens to be Remus's favorite tactic, take it as you will.

"C. Put some thought into a good way to talk through it slash reveal it to them, which will completely depend on what results you're looking for with this."

"Which one- my god, I'm really going to ask this- which one would you suggest?"

Roman made a face. "Depends on the person. And I'm not gonna ask."

"Why does it depend?" Logan frowned.

"Well, people will react differently. If it were Virgil, for example, it would probably be better to put some thought into it. With his anxiety, it would be good for you to know as many answers to potential questions he would have about the whole thing.

"I just told Patton, because it's Pat and he's an angel and he gets the whole 'emotional heart driven' thing."

Logan sighed and took his glasses off, rubbing his hands over his face. God, why was he doing this? This was going to end so badly for him.

"Very well... what would your suggestion be if the person of concern was... Dorrian?"
