1 week later

Natalie's POV

I sit on my bed as i feel the cool California breeze blow through the window. It's been a whole week since the whole thing with David. Me and David haven't really talked since then, so it's been awkward. I still haven't decided when I want to go home, I don't want to but at the same time I do. I walk out of my room and go to the kitchen to see David at the table on his computer, probably editing. "Oh hey nat" he says closing his computer quickly "hi" i say confused of why he just did that. He smiled and got out of his set and grabbed his computer and went to his room. "Ok" i say to myself as he shuts the door. I sit on the couch and turn on Netflix and watch some movies.

David's POV

I have a surprise for Natalie and she has no clue what it is. I've noticed that she is really good with getting things done and she always is there for me. So I want to ask her to be my assistant. She will live with me and have her own room and everything she wants and I will, of course, pay her. I also really want her to stay here but i won't force her is she doesn't want to. I also have been looking up ideas for her new bedroom design, that's why I had to close my computer really quick when she came towards me. I want to keep this a complete secret, no one else knows at all. Today I'm going to see if Zane will hangout with her cause I'm suppose to be getting all the stuff for her room and I won't be able to set it all up if she's here. "Hey nat" i yell from my room "yea" she says opening my door "Zane said he would like it if you would help him with moving his furniture" i said closing my computer. "Uhh sure, when does he want me to come over?" She asks confused "uh I think now" I said looking at my phone for the message that wasn't real. "Oh ok" she says and she walks out of my room and shuts the door, as I continue to look at stuff for her new room.

3 hours later

I've gotten all the furniture set up and I've painted her room, now I have to add her blankets and put her clothes in the dresser and I'll be done.

I finally finished her room and I decided to add a little something to keep her comfort, a picture of me and her. I put the framed photo on her night stand, a long with a photo of her dog that had passed away. I step away and look through the door way at my beautiful masterpiece and I smile, I hope she says yes.

Natalie's POV

David rushed me out the house to go help Zane and turns out Zane didn't need my help at all. So I had drove all the way there to find out that David just wanted me to get out the house. It made no sense, I thought he liked me back but I guess i was wrong. I'm on my way home now and I can't help but think about how Davids been hiding something from me. He closes his computer around me and he doesn't even want me to stay at his house, maybe he wants me to leave and he's getting annoyed be me. I stopped at a stop light and banged me head against the wheel and started to cry. "Everyone fucking hates me" i say crying more until I hear someone honk behind me and I look up to see the light green. I wiped my tears and pressed the gas pedal and headed to the place I was most unwanted at.

I pulled into the driveway and slammed my door and I felt more tears run down my face. I unlocked the door and hoped David wouldn't be waiting for me and I was lucky enough to not see him at all. The coast was clear until I heard him call my name, from my room. fuck. "You know what David, I swear if this is for your stupid vlog, I will leav-" I stopped talking immediately when I walked in my room to see it all remodeled to fit my personality. I look around the room to see my favorite color on the walls and my blanket on the bed and that's when I saw David with his goofy smile at the end of my bed. Now let me remind you that I had just been crying so my face was red and i had tear stains all over. "What you don't like it? It's o-ok if you do-don't i can c-change it back, i ju-" I cut him off by hugging him and I started to sob more as I realized that I was about to leave cause I thought he hated me, when really he just wanted to make my life better. "I love it" i say as I look up to him and see his stupid smile, I giggle and look around the room once again but this time my eyes stay on the night stand that had to framed pictures on it. I walk over to the table and see a picture of my dog, Nooks that had passed away. I start to cry more as I realize that David really does care for me, maybe he does love me? I move the picture and see another framed photo and on this one was a picture of me and David I smile and turn around to David as my tone softens. "Why did you do all this?" I ask as I sit down on the bed with the picture still in my hands. "Well that's the other thing I have a question" he says as he sits down and starts to scratch his neck. "Ok" i say putting the picture to the side of me "you know how you've been looking for jobs" he says and i nod yes. "Well i was wandering if you wo-would want to be my assistant" he says very nervously. I begin to look around the room for a camera to see if this was a prank but i never saw one, he's serious. "I mean it's ok if you don't want to, it won't be that hard just like get me Chipotle and like remind me for things" he says looking at his feet "you're serious?" I ask not knowing why he wants me as an assistant. I mean what am I going to do? What is so special about me? It all makes no sense, once again. "I mean I'm going to pay you and st-stuff but you don't have to I just thought I would ask and do the room so you could stay here and everything but you do-" he starts to ramble so I put my hands on his to calm him down, which works. "Hey, i would love to" I say smiling at him "but what will my parents say?" I ask knowing they would be the ones to care the most about me moving 2,137 miles away. "I've already called them, they said it was fine" he said smiling back at me. "Ok well yes, I'll be your assistant and move in with you" i say letting go of his hands and standing up "yayy, thank you" he says as he stands up too and hugs me.

David's POV

I was so excited when she said yes, I actually felt butterflies. It was weird. "Hey you wanna go tell the rest of the group?" I ask Natalie "sure" she says excitedly "ok" i say as we head to my car. We were headed to Dom's place when I noticed that Natalie had been bouncing her leg up and down, which she only does when she's nervous. I put my hand on her thigh and she stops immediately. "What's wrong" I say still keeping my eyes on the road and my hand on her thigh. "Well it's just th-that, I don't know, Jeff make me fe-feel uncomfortable" she says bouncing her leg up and down again, with my hand on it. I rub my thumb back and forth on her thigh, trying to comfort her. "It's ok, do you not wanna go?" I say this time taking my eyes off the road, letting my car drive itself. "No no no, i still want to go, just maybe could you stay by me the whole ti-time?" She says breaking at the end. "Yea sure" i say smiling and we drove to the apartment with one hand on the wheel and the other on my best friend's thigh.
