( i know that this is a really big time jump but i just want to show how long they hide their feelings for and stuff and there's a big twist in this but i have to do it to get the story moving)

No one's POV

David wake up to the sound of rain pounding his roof. It hardly ever rains in California but David had guessed that today was a special day but what he didn't know was that it would be the total opposite, it would be one of the worst days of his life.

Natalie had planned to hang out with Reggie and Corinna but she frowned as she looked outside to see puddles everywhere. They were going to go to the mall and shop for Natalie's birthday, that was coming up but it looked like they would have to postpone. Natalie picked up her phone as she saw she got a text from a group chat.

The 3 bad bitches😈🥵

Reggie💋: guys we might have to cancel our plans😕☔️

Corinna💍: yea, sorry nat, the rain is being a bitch😒

Natalie💞: guys, it's ok. we can always do it another time🙃

Reggie💋: ok, well y'all have a good day! luv ya babes😚

Natalie💞: 😘

Corinna💍: 🥰

Natalie put down her phone, smiling as she realized how good her friends were to her. She suddenly snapped out of her thoughts as she heard David's door open. She watched him carefully as he walked out of his room in his all black clothes. He ran his fingers through his hair and sat down on the white couch and opened his computer. "Hi" he said "hey" Natalie said back almost so quiet that you could barley hear it but David did.  "What are you doing today?" He asked focusing more on Natalie. "Um, well I was supposed to hang out with Reggie and Corinna but looks like were going to have to cancel " Natalie says looking outside at the dark clouds. "Oh, ok" David said as he got up to grab a water. "What are you doing?" Natalie asked turning around to see him. "I'm probably just going to stay here and edit" he says taking a sip of water "ok" Natalie says turning her attention to the storm that was happening outside.

It had been about 2 hours since David and Natalie had last spoken and David was really bored. He had finished all his editing and he had no meetings or sponsors to do and he didn't have any Instagram post to post. Natalie was watching a Christmas movie as it was starting yo got close tot hat time but first it was Natalie's birthday. David had already decided on her gift. It was a diamond necklace that had 'Natalie' on the front of it and on the back was a message that David had got personally engraved. It took him forever to find it and he just really hoped that Natalie would love it.

"Hey nat, I'm going to Jason's real quick" David said as he walked out of his room with his camera "ok" Natalie said changing the channel on the tv. David grabbed his keys and headed to Jason's in his Tesla.

Liza's POV
(Oh shit)

I decided today that I would surprise David. Me and him have still be in touch with each other and I thought that we might as well talk face to face. I pulled into the driveway and knocked on the front door to be greeted with a girl. "Hi?" She says confusedly as she opens the door "hi, I'm Liza" I say putting out my hand hoping this isn't David's girlfriend. "Oh hi Liza" the girl says as she realized who I was and shaking my hand. "Hey, I don't mean to be rude but who are you?" I ask in the nicest way possible "oh I'm just David's assistant or his friend, Natalie. We grew up together" she says letting me inside the house. "Oh ok" I say feeling relieved. "Also David isn't here right now but you're still very welcome to stay" Natalie says as she walks towards the couch, I follow and sit down also. "Yea I'll just stay a little" I say laughing.

"Hey I'm going to use the bathroom" I say getting up and heading towards the bathroom. I look at Natalie to see if she was looking and she wasn't so I quietly walked to David's room and locked myself in. I found a piece of paper and a pen and I started to write.

Dear Liza,
I miss you so much. I still love you and need you. Please come back to me. I don't want Natalie anymore. She's boring and needy. I really need you. Please save me from Natalie. She thinks i like her so my plans are going on track. I love you and want you back.

I smiled to myself and put the paper on David's bed and I walked out. I sat back on the couch and smiled at Natalie as she watched the movie How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Natalie's POV

The night sky has taken over the cloudy sky and it's gotten darker. Liza left about an hour ago and I was so glad. There was something she was up to but I had no clue what it was. I decided to do the laundry for David, so I went to his room and grabbed his sheets when I saw a note. I read it and watched as a single tear had fallen from my eyes. I don't get it, I thought he did like me? I began to cry more and I went to my room to pack. I was about to leave when i got startled by a knock at the door, it was David. I wiped my tears and rushed through the front door. "Nat!" David yelled running back to me. "Where are you going?" He asks as the rain pours down on us.

"I'm leaving" I say looking away "why?" He asks. "What do you mean why!? You clearly don't want me here!" I yell getting closer to him "what do you mean!" He yells back "I saw the fucking note David! You still love Liza" I say turning around again, I cannot look at him. "What!?" He yells confusedly "I don't love Liza!" He yells "Yes you do! It's all apart of your plan isn't it!" I yell getting madder as I began to cry more. "Nat what are you talking about" he says getting calmer "don't call me that" I grit through my teeth as more tears threaten to spill. "What the fuck!" He yells pulling at his hair "no, fuck you David!" I yell again as I push him back. I look into his eyes to see hurt and tears. I shake it off and remember the note. I run to my car and get in and I drove off.

David's POV

She drove away and I sat there on the steps crying until I couldn't tell if it was tears on rain on my shirt. I walked back inside and laid in my bed. I remember all the times we had and I cried more and that night was definitely one of my worst nights ever.
