"Places, people! Can everyone get in their spots that I just laid out for you all?" Dale Morris yells, a second away from pulling out what's left of his hair. Next to me, Ayden types furiously on his sleek iPhone and on the other side of me is Morgan James. The Morgan James. We had a conversation just ten minutes earlier, no big deal. Madelyn would be super jealous; I'm standing in between Ayden Tyler and Morgan James. "Alright, now that everyone is in their respective places," he glances over at the other actors on the side, "we can get this show on the road. Now, Ayden, your character is lost, and you don't know how to get your mojo back. You are married to the beautiful and rich Andrea Taylor," he says rapidly as he gestures over to Morgan, "but you catch glimpse of Sadie Fox," he gestures over to me, "and all the feeling in the world just overwhelms you." He steps back a few steps to place himself behind the camera, in the infamous movie chair. The first day on the set, and I’m already sweating so much. Do actors sweat? I have no idea. I glance over at Ayden and then Morgan. No sweat marks. Maybe it’s just me and I’m weird.
Dale motions for the producers and whispers some words to the cameraman, and then he yells, "Action!"
Andrea Taylor
Honey, look, it’s Sadie and Dex! I’ve heard they moved back to town. We should invite them to tea. (Turns to friend, Rebecca Morris) Why did they move, again? It was so long ago, I forgot.
Rebecca
I think it was because of the rumor that Sadie was having an affair, and they wanted to cover up her mistakes. I heard it was true, but that wasn’t the only reason they moved. (Giggles) I heard she was going to leave Dex for the man because of a bigger problem (winks, then points to her belly).
Andrea
That can’t be correct. (Looks away nervously) I’m almost positive that Dex got relocated.
Graham
(Abruptly) We have to meet your parents for lunch, Andie. We can’t keep them waiting.
Andrea
They can wait just a bit longer. Becky, what about this affair? Was it with anyone we know?
Rebecca
(Shrugs) Who knows? All I know is that she was going to leave Dex for the mystery man. Then they left.
Andrea
(Shakes head) Poor, poor family. We must invite them to tea. (Eyes Sadie) I want to know more about this girl.
