Scarlett's P.O.V

"Dude, those guys are hot," Alice says

"Can you shut up?" I ask

"Nope. I'm pretty sure that one guy on the end has a thing for you," Alice says, wiggling her eyebrows

"How? He doesn't even know me. There's no way he can have a thing for me," I say, rolling my eyes

"You know what you need? You need to get drunk and have fun. You, my friend, have a lot on your mind and need to relax," she says matter of factly

"Ummm, I'm only 19, so technically I shouldn't even be drinking," I say

"Yea, yea. Like you follow rules anyway. You need to get out there and have fun, stop being such a goody-two-shoes for once," she says rolling her eyes

"I'm perfectly fine, thank you very much. Now go do your job," I say, pushing her towards the 2 customers that just walked in

Hour after hour and customer after customer, the closing time finally came around. Feet aching, I walk home and sneak up to my "room" and take a shower. Climbing into bed, I fall into a deep sleep.

I couldn't get Him off my mind.

A week went by before I even saw him again.

"Look who's here," Alice says.

Looking where she was I saw him

This time, he was with one of his friends instead of all three.

"Alright, they're both hot, I'm going in. Wish me luck," Alice says

"Good luck," I say, going back to attend to the elderly couple in the back

After taking their orders, I sit down and see Alice walking back to me with a disappointed look

"Hey, what's wrong?" I ask

"They asked for you. They want you as their waitress, not me," she snaps

"Woah. Are you mad at me because of that? Because I have no control over-," I start

"Just go, you'll drive the customers away if you don't go take their order," she snaps, walking away

What the hell was her problem?

Walking over to their table, I say, "Ummm, hey guys. You asked for me?"

"Ahhh, there she is. Yes, we did ask for you. We want you as our waitress, not her. I get slutty vibes from her," His friend says

"Ummm, ok?" I say

"My name's Eli by the way," he says with a smile

"Cool. I'm-," I start

"Scarlett," he cuts me off

"You remember?" I say surprised

"Of course. I always remember a pretty face,' he says with a wink.

Shaking my head, I ask, "So what can I get you guys?"

"We'll start off with 2 beers. You remember what type?" Eli asks

"Corona," I say

"Good memory," he replies. After bringing them their drinks I take their orders and send them to the kitchen to get it ready. While waiting for their food to be ready, I attempt to talk to Alice.
