(Song: Even Though I'm Depressed ~ Chase Atlantic)

Alex's P.O.V

I watched her

Yes, stalkerish. I know

But then again...I don't give a fuck

I do as I please

I hated the way they treated her

First them

And now her friend

If only there was a way I could help her

Turning the car on, I drive away. Knowing I would return sooner rather than later

Scarlett's P.O.V

Yes. I cried my eyes out in the bathroom that day

No. Me and Alice have not spoken to each other since that day

Yes. She has tried to speak to me, but I can't deal with her and her bullshit today or any other day for that matter

No. I haven't seen Alex since that day

You know, I honestly thought she was my friend. I thought she understood me. She was the one person I went to for everything. She understood what I was going through. She was my person. Now I've got no one...

Waking up from my hair being yanked, I'm brought, or more like thrown down the stairs to the kitchen.

Getting up, I walk towards the table and go to take a seat. That is before I landed on my ass once more. The damn chair was pulled out by no one else other than my sister. She's in her twenties. Why the fuck hasn't she moved out? When I get the chance, I promise you, I'm moving the fuck out. But of course, that's not allowed. One day maybe.

"Oops," she says with a fake smile

Rolling my eyes, I attempt to grab the chair from her but instead, she moved it again and propped her feet upon it.

"Can you stop?" I ask

Thinking about she then says, "Nope," popping the 'p' and going back to eating her waffles

"Now, I want you to clean up this kitchen and complete all of the chores you usually have. I'll give you the guest bedroom key so you can get that ready just in case they decide to stay over. By the time we get back, I want this place in tip-top shape" my mother says

"B-b-but I have to go to work. I'll be late," I say

"Last time I checked, I don't give a shit," she says

"Now get to work," Jim bellows, yanking me by my hair and tossing me onto the floor

"Why don't you get to work?" I mumbled under my breath. But it came out louder than I expected

"What was that?" Jim says, turning on his heels to look at me

"I think I'll have to teach you a lesson eh?" he says, walking towards me

"N-n-no, sir. I didn't s-s-say anyth-thing," I stutter, backing up into the cabinet behind me

"Lying as well? Think we might have to go for double time," he says, unbuckling belt

"N-n-no, please. I'm s-s-sorry," I say, the tears already forming

"Too late," he seethes. For 30 minutes straight, I was beaten senseless with a belt. Sometimes I was kicked and sometimes I was punched. But the metal part of that belt hurt the most.

Picking up the shattered glass from the floor, I hurry to get all of my chores done before they get home. I was already an hour and 45 minutes late for work, I just hope Jeff wouldn't fire me. Not yet anyways. I just needed some time to figure out how to get out of here and then he could fire me. By then I would be able to get an apartment for myself for a few months.
