Falling Hard And Falling Fast

It has been 2 weeks and Barry and Iris have kind of become friends.They smile at each other in the hallway and sometimes talk to each other in class. On the days that she works he would sit down and pretend to work on homework while he was really watching her. Not in like a creepy way. Sometimes after her shift, he would offer to drive her home. Today was just another day and after he saw her get ready to leave he got up

"So you wanna ride home?" 

"um actually I have somewhere to be" Barry's heart deflated 

"oh where are you going," He said his eyes wandering down realing she had changed into different clothes then what she wore to school. She was wearing a  skirt and a white crop top.

Iris blushed " I am going on a date!" Barry frowned 

"with who?" Barry asked he could not help but feel jealous.

"Eddie Thawne," She said blushing. Eddie? Barry thought he is one of the toughest guys in the school he is always hooking up with girls and then leaving them. He was about to warn her but she had just said goodbye and walked out of the door. Barry sighed and picked up his backpack feeling so confused.

The next day at school he saw Eddie at Iris locker he had on hand leaning on the locker and the other one wrapped around her waist. They were looking deeply into each other's eyes. He was about to get to class and try to figure out what he was feeling when his Best friend Oliver Queen pulled him aside 

"Dang look at Iris and Eddie they are going at it!" Barry sifted his eyes over and saw that their faces were pressed together and that Eddie's hands were wanderinga bit to far for Barry's liking.  

"Yeah whatever,I bet it wont last a day"

 "Whats your problem?" Oliver said noticing his friend's bad mood.

"Nothing I just I..." He stuttered. Suddenly Oliver got a huge smile on his face

"Dude you like her you like her" 

"Dude shush" Barry yelled 

"What the hell!" "Don't shout it out like that, and I don't like her"

"Whatever you say, man, I gotta head to chem so see you later"

For the rest of the day, Barry could not get his mind off of what Oliver said Do I really like Iris West?  Nah I can't she's a well a nerd and I am a jock. Why would Eddie go for her? I mean she is cute and her eyes sparkle whenever I look at her and when she smiles it feels as if the world has stopped. Dammit, Barry focus! The Bell rang and it was time to go home. As he was getting in his car he got a text I got a burger and a vanilla milkshake with your name on it you coming? He texted back smiling sure. 

When he entered Big Bell burger He saw Iris taking an order when she saw him she waved and patted down a stool a the bar.

"hey," She said with a bright voice 

"Hey" Barry replied 

"So are you excited for the school dance?I am going with Eddie"

"Cool," Barry said bitting on his lip 

"So who is Barry Allen taking?" 

"Um me uh nobody at the moment"Iris's face looks surprised

"really? There must be plenty of girls wanting to be your date"

"Trust me it is not like that" 

"Anyway I should get going" 

"Okay well see you tomorrow" Barry exited the door yup he was falling hard and fast for Iris West.
