DEAL《 "i guess, things didn't go as i would have wanted" 》
-
months before ..
the woman was impatiently waiting for someone to call her, she was sat on a very comfortable sofa on a luxurious waiting room, and while she waited, her mind couldn't help but overthink a little bit too much. this was taking ages and doubts were starting to fill her mind with insecurities.
was this even a good idea? what if it didn't work?
her thoughts were suddenly interrupted when a brunette with brown eyes appeared in the room and smiled kindly at her. "miss porter?" the woman asked for clarification while she extended her hand towards her.
the woman who was previously sat, got up and shook hands with the brunette with certain professionalism, she was used to these kind of situations.
"yes, i'm gina porter"
the other woman smiled and introduced herself as well, "great! i am natalie bagley and i will make sure that everything goes as planned throughout this process, okay?"
gina only nodded in response and miss bagley led her to a room that looked like some sort of office; with a large wood table in the middle, art canvas that for sure were very expensive hung on the wall and a giant chandelier on the ceiling. the room looked wealthy, professional and would look oddly weird and dark if it wasn't for the sunlight coming from some big windows that were bright open, making it all look elegant and natural at the same time.
"you can sit here beside me and we could look all through our options" natalie signaled to the corner of the table where a laptop, some papers and folders were scattered and she quickly sat down, the woman mimicked her actions and took a sit beside her.
so, she was finally doing this, and there was no turning back.
after hearing so much rambling of a lot of annoying young girls and religious women introducing themselves on short videos that natalie had showed her, that tiny part of gina that wasn't feeling prepared at all for all of this quickly took over her senses.
"miss bagley, i- i don't think this is going to work, i am really sorry if i made you lose y-"
"miss porter," she started, cutting gina off immediately. "i know that this might look hard, it's a very complicated decision. but please, wait until we have seen every single introducing video and then i promise you will have your time and space to finally decide on what to do"
at this, she took a deep breath before nodding and directing her attention to the screen once again with an emotionless expression.
little did she know that the face she would have seen next, would have changed her whole life.
"um, hi my name is nina salazar roberts" the girl on the screen said shyly, her gaze glued on the floor, her hands fidgeting nervously and her light brown locks covering most of her face; nonetheless, gina could tell that the girl was very pretty.
"i'm 19, almost 20, um, i was born in salt lake city" only when she said that last sentence she looked directly at the camera with a shy smile on her face and because of that, gina porter had the opportunity to admire her beauty a little bit better, her eyes were brown, her lips were pink and she wasn't using any make up.
