Epilogue
"Lexi! Where's your shoes?" As usual, he received zero response from the five year old who was most likely distracted by her toys, rather than getting ready like Luke asked her too.

The blonde sighed as he looked through the bundle of shoes they had gathered by the front door, finding Lexi's yellow converses shoved underneath Ashton's combat boots. They were as bad as each other.

Grabbing the boots for Ashton and the converses for Lexi, he headed into the lounge where the partners in crime were sat. Lexi was on the floor, colouring book set up on the table and crayons in hand. Ashton, still dressed in his work attire, was flicking through the tv channels as if they had nowhere to be.

"Lexi, why'd you take your hair out of the plaits?" Luke asked, frustration seeping into his voice as he passed the boots to Ashton who accepted them with a chilled out, thanks baby. Lexi hair was way past her shoulders now, the kid really hated hair cuts.

"Papa's hair is messy!" Lexi argued back, "Why can't mine be too?"

"Hey!" Ashton reacted to that, turning to look at the five year old with a offended expression. "My hair isn't messy it's curly! I just got a hair cut, can't say the same about you, can we?" He smirked as she stuck her tongue out at him, although started giggling when he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.

Luke went to argue that they were making them late when he caught the smiles on their faces.

He loved them both so much, the past couple of years spent with them have been the best of his life. So sue him, for forgetting his schedule and smiling along with them. Ashton caught his grin and reached out with his free arm that wasn't holding Lexi, to grab Luke and pull him into them. "Looks like I've caught two blondes." Ashton teased, causing Lexi to burst into another fit of giggles.

It was close to being their first wedding anniversary. They had gotten married with their close friends and family, Michael had been Ashton's best man and Calum, Luke's. Lexi wore the cutest dress, she had been four at the time, so of course she had to pick her own dress and her love for yellow shone through, as of course, she picked a light yellow one.

She even demanded Luke and Ashton had yellow boutonnière's to match her.

"Daddy! Help me!" Lexi screamed, still in a fit of laughter as she reached for Luke, despite Ashton holding her upside down.

"We have to go to uncle Calum and Michael's right now!" Luke grabbed Lexi and put her on the ground, motioning for her to put on her converses. Thankfully, this time she listened, skipping towards the sneakers that had been left on the floor for her.

"Yes, boss." Ashton smiled as he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Luke's lips before sitting down to lace up his boots.

Luke smiled, proud of himself for finally getting them both to listen. Usually it took a lot longer.
