My heart tore slightly and I sighed. The drive to my apartment was silent except for the slight sound of the tires gliding over the smooth yet gravel covered highway. I laid my head against the window and shut my eyes. I was entirely too tired tonight, and I felt myself nodding off. Despite the slight bumps every now and then I was left basically undisturbed until I got home. I unbuckled my seat belt and opened the door. I slightly stumbled but I steadied myself and walked to the back of the truck. I opened the trunk and grabbed a few bags, and ran inside. I laid our stuff down and walked down the hallway to tell Britney. When I walked in her room she was asleep, but I woke her anyway, "hey, I'll be home for a few days..... Something has occurred and we can't stay at Isaac's. I'll fill you in later." She nodded sleepily and covered her head with her zebra patterned comforter. I quietly walked out of the room, and into the kitchen to make some coffee. The thick warm liquid slid down my throat as I quickly paced to my room. The next morning I rolled over and the morning sun gleamed brightly through the blinds. Isaac was still sound asleep. I cuddled up beside him and he ran a sleepy hand through my bangs to wipe my hair from my face. He chuckled lightly and hugged me. I turned around and pressed my nose to his. He smiled and kissed me softly.
