The next morning I checked my phone. •6 missed calls from Caleb• "that's fucking great" I sighed and got out of bed, went downstairs and called him back. "Oh thank god! I was really worried about you. I was scared you weren't gonna be okay, I heard about what happened." I sighed and simply replied with "what the hell are you talking about caleb?" He sniffled and said "what? You were in a wreck with Dawn last night.. You don't remember.." I screamed and my throat felt raw "Caleb I wasn't in a wreck.! Dawn was with Chad last night. She had to go to Chads court this morning. Oh my god I have to check on her. Fuck. I have to go." I hung up the phone and threw it across the room. My legs gave out and i collapsed onto the floor. Isaac came rushing down the stairs and he picked me up and he wouldn't quit asking if I was okay. He was shaking and he checked my last call. "What the fuck did he say to you?! Do I have to fucking kill him.!?" I tried to talk but nothing would come up. I was really dizzy and I had a bad feeling. "It's..it..it's about...her..it's about...dawn....she was...she was in...a car accident...as soon as she...left here last..last night. Can you..take..me to...chads.?" His expression turned soft and sincere, "oh baby, sure, go get dressed and I'll take you. I love you baby, and I'm here for you."
I hugged him as tight as I could and I ran upstairs to change. I pulled on another blue button up shirt and a pair of khaki skinny jeans with a pair of black combat boots. "Isaac, I'm ready to go." I walked down stairs and got into the passenger side of Isaac's black truck. All I could think was "ah hell."
