~Meliodas's POV~

Escanor walks up to us, but instead of fighting us.....he gives me.....

..the keys??!

"Here. I'm fed up of this evil crap. Merlin's changed, and Elizabeth doesn't deserve this." he says, smiling. Maybe he wasn't involved afterall.

I give him a massive bro hug before thanking him. Our hero.

We all make an entrance, looking around the building from where they could be. I'm coming Elizabeth, hang on!

She knew we were here, and made an attempt to scream. Luckily, I can hear girls putting on their panties from miles away, so them preventing her screams did nothing to prevent my hearing skills.

I follow the sound, and it leads up to Merlin's lab. The place I first confronted her. I call the others over, and barge the door open. No more of this.

From there, we see Elizabeth tied up. WAIT. Elizabeth tied up??!

From the realisation from the pain she was in, I turned into my demon form uncontrollably. Not so out of control screaming like last time, though.

"Why??" I ask, deeply. Of course, nobody would answer.

"Last chance to answer. Why?" I ask again, looking at them all in the eyes. King and Diane hold me back from beating their ass square, since we needed an explanation. Otherwise, they'd be dead by now. Apart from Elizabeth, of course.

"She's not meant for you, pal. She's meant for me." Arthur boasts. Unbelieveable, is all I can think of him now.

"How sad do you have to be to force an innocent girl into a relationship by tying them up?" I ask, still with my dark tone.

"Captain. You're-"

"Don't you DARE call me captain after all you've done, Merlin. If you killed her, I would have ended you right here, right now."

"It's a shame you interrupted. Oh well, you can enjoy the show. Please, tie them up." Merlins face turns to this woman, I've never seen before.

"And who are you supposed to be??!" Ban asks.

"I'm Elizabeth's mother. Everyone thought I died, but no. I was escaping from having to raise such a mistake. Now I can raise her rightfully and have her make money for the royal family." she says, with the most gross cackle I've ever heard.

Everyone else was trying to escape. I didn't want to be safe. I just wanted Elizabeth to be safe. So I freed the others.

"Don't free me...just...just save Elizabeth, please." I whisper to them, without hesitency. Diane unties Elizabeth, but ends up being stopped. Elizabeth is more loose out of the ropes.

"Captain, we aren't leaving you behind." Ban says.

"I'm sorry best friend, but it's time for me to be a hero. To sacrifice myself. Free me out of these ropes so I can be willing to die for the girl I love." I say. Elizabeth looks at me with shock and worry. She can't speak, as there's tape over her mouth. I go over, and release the tape.

"Meliodas, please..please don't do this." she begs.

I go back to a calm tone, so I can have my last words to her be positive.

"I promised to protect you. I have to do my duty." I say, with a smile.

"But...a life without you..w-would hurt me most. Because...I-..I love you..." she says, with tears in her eyes.

So she feels the same? Well, time to save the one I love.

Elizabeth's mom rolls her eyes, and interrupts the conversation, and slashes her sword towards Elizabeth.

But instead of it hitting her, it went into my body. I hear her scream in pain and agony, watching me fall to the ground. I spat out blood, and kept coughing it out. All the sins and Elizabeth run up to me, crying.

"E-everyone....t-t-thanks so much, for being in my life..." I just about get out. Being stabbed to death made it just about impossible for anyone to talk.

"Don't say that captain...you're gonna make it..." Diane says, with tears in her eyes.

"M-meliodas..." Elizabeth says, crying her heart out. It sucked to see her cry, but at least I saw her alive, one last time.

I hold her hand, with mine shaking before death.

"Our journey...isn't o-over yet...I'll watch over you.." I say.

But what she did made me heal almost immediately. I realised she was...

Andddd we leave that at a terrible cliffhanger. Sorry for my shitty plot, but oh well. I did say it'd be positive, and it is in the end, sorry lmao. Thanks for yall who stick around! You make me keep going~
