Jealousy and Pain

~Meliodas's POV~

It's now Monday. I remember the conversation Elizabeth's dad and I had.

Flashback:

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Elizabeth's father asks.

"Well, I need to know what things your daughter admires most. I want to make a special day for her..and...well...uh" blush had arose from my cheeks from what I was trying to tell him, but all that came out was stammer, getting more and more nervous.

"Ahhh, I see." he responds with a smirk, followed by a wink.

By now, my whole face was red.

"She loves chocolates, and she doesn't like big fancy scenes. She likes more of a calm and chill scene, so maybe don't overly decorate it. Oh, and she loves compliments, even though she completely disagrees with them, it makes her happy." he informs me. This was all the information I needed.

"Thanks a lot, sir."

"No problem, I know you'll do a fabulous job at keeping her safe and happy."

That made me smile, but that would only be possible if she said yes, which I doubted. Although we had our share of kisses, she still probably didn't like me like that.

I respond to his statement with a smile, and continued to hang out with her.

I pick Ellie up, as usual. But, a slight feeling arose in me when she talked to Arthur. Arthur was our friend, of course, but I had a feeling when she talks to him. It makes me feel a certain way.

This made me feel like she definitely wouldn't say yes now. Arthur's got everything. The looks, the personality. They're also both of royal families, so they'd be perfect.

"So, my princess, would you do me the honour of going on a date?" I hear him say. I was about to get so angry, until I realise that if Elizabeth likes him, she'll not want me to hurt him. I promised to keep her happy, so that's what I'll do.

I was about to walk off in a sigh, until I heard her answer.

"S-sorry, I'm greatful, but...well, my heart belongs to another." she says, clutching onto the necklace I gave her, and smiling, with a few emotional tears dropping down her cheek.

I blush. It can't be me, can it? I mean, she did decline him, but what if it was someone else??

Arthur glances over at my rosy-red face, and giggles.

"Ahhh, I see. Well, I'll cya around...I suppose." he says, glaring at me still.

She turns to see me, still blushing.

"Are you okay? You seem to be in a blushing fit-" she says.

"Uhh, yeah I'm okay. Must be the sun." I laugh off.

"Oh okay. Well, Arthur asked me on a date..."

"I know." I say, with a cold tone.

"Oh, so you overheard?"

I smile sadly, knowing the one she loves is probably Arthur, regardless of what she said.

"Someones jealous.." Diane says, sneaking over to us.

"Tell me about it." King jumps in, rolling his eyes.

"Huh?? What? Who? Jealous? What's that?" I ask, stupidly. I didn't know what else to say.

"Cmon captain, you clearly are jealous." King stated.

"Jealous of what?"

"Of Arthur flirting with Elizabeth, what else?" Ban interrupts.

"Well it's whatever makes her happy. If Arthur is the guy that makes her happy, then that's...fine." I say, with a sigh. Everyone clearly knows I'm not okay with it.

"B-but...he's not the guy that makes me happy." she says, with tears running down her.

"Elizabeth, why are you crying??" I ask.

"A..a...all sorts of r-reasons.." she stutters. I can't take her being upset. I cuddle with her on the bench.

"Don't be upset, it doesn't suit you. Like I said, I'll always be here, you can tell me anything." I said, whilst she clutches on my shirt, as I tell her to let all her emotions out. This isn't about Arthur. I know that. Something happened to her, and I need to know what.

"Now, what or who is making you feel like this??"

"I-if I tell you...you won't believe me." she says, less tears dripping down her, but still quite a few.

"Of course I will. I'll never disregard you, even if everyone else hated me." I said. I did send the rest of the sins out of the way, so I could talk about this with her.

But when I lifted up her sleeves, only then did I get mad.
