/Third Person P.O.V./
Virgil sighed heavily, making the boy next to him look up, a horrified expression on his face. "W-what!?" He snapped. Or rather tried to, seeing as the quiver in his voice was still very audible from after his panic attack.
Roman just kept staring. He seemed to have just frozen. Virgil tried again. "Uhm, Roman, right? You g-good?" Virgil asked cautiously. That's when Roman snapped out of his trance, and looked around for a couple seconds, before his eyes landed back on the darkly dressed boy, or rather, his Soulmate. Roman couldn't believe it. He had found the love of his life.
Roman being the romantic person he is, you'd expect him to now immediately start serenading the other boy in front of everyone, right? Wrong.
Well, he DID want to do that, but this was too much for him to take right now. He just had no idea how to react, so he just let his fight or flight reflexes take over and literally got up to his feet and clumsily ran away from the room Virgil was sitting in, leaving the emo shocked and honestly a little hurt. Sure, Virgil was quite familiar with rejection in many forms, but he didn't expect his best friend's brother to just flat out refuse to talk to him like that...
Virgil just spent the rest of the evening in Remy's garden with Anne, talking.
When he got home he just yeeted himself at his bed and tried to get some sleep, not even bothering to enter the bathroom to change or take off his makeup. He knew he would have to deal with it the day after, but frankly, Virgil didn't care.

Light was slowly but surely entertaining Virgil's room, waking the anxious boy up. He reluctantly got up and headed towards the bathroom, yawning.
The anxious boy lazily searched for his make up wipes, and used them to, obviously, take off his make up, glancing at himself in the mirror in the process. That's when he noticed it.
The black marks under his eyes and along his jawline he was so familiar with had disappeared. Completely. His freckles were now a lot more visible against his pale skin, and his eyes were now as wide as they would go. Virgil couldn't seem to process the information he'd just acquired. He just couldn't believe it.
Amongst the many questions in his brain at the moment, the main one was obviously "Who...?".
Virgil took a couple deep breaths and started thinking.
"Ok, so the last time I'm sure I still had my mark was when I was getting ready for that party...right? Right, yea that's right. So it must have happened at the party. But no one slapped me or anything! Wait...Roman c-cupped my face after the attack...maybe? Oh god, I can't remember! Am I right? Am I wrong!? I must be, Roman would never be my soulmate, but still...it couldn't have been anyone else..."
After more reasoning, Virgil was certain.
"Roman's my Soulmate..."
"Roman's my Soulmate, and when he realized, he ran away from me."
"Even my Soulmate hates me...but I'm not surprised."
