Quinn sat on a kitchen stool staring out at the view from the window with her coffee in her hand. Despite the fact that she'd told Gray she thought this place was a dump, deep down she loved their house, more than words could describe and she missed being here with Gray. But maybe after last night that was all going to change. She smiled to herself. Last night had been amazing, indescribable. She was more in love with Gray than ever. Maybe today, in the clear light of day, she would feel strong enough to tell him again. She just needed to wait for him to get up. She had left him in their bed fast asleep. He was so adorable when he was asleep, she could've just laid there and watched him for the longest time and been totally content with that.

But she got out of bed and went to make breakfast for the two of them. It was Saturday morning. Isla didn't work on the weekends so Quinn had always made them breakfast when they'd been married. Quinn stopped herself. They were still married. Even though she'd signed the divorce papers she was yet to hear back from Byron about the closure of her marriage. She would have to ask Gray when he woke up what he had done with the papers.

Quinn was whisking eggs when she realised she was no longer alone in the kitchen. She turned expecting to see Gray, but it was a female that she didn't even recognise. Immediately Quinn went on high alert. Who was she? Some woman Gray had 'dated' while they'd been apart?

"Hi," she said. "I'm Dana."

"Hi, Dana. Um, what are you doing in my house?"

"Oh, I'm just here with Evie. Wait, your house?"

"Yes. I'm Quinn."

"Quinn. As in Gray's ex-wife?"

"I'm not his ex-wife, we're still married. So you're Evie's friend?"

Suddenly there was a noise behind them. "Quinn, hi." Quinn looked further to her left to see Evie had entered the room. "Um, so this is my... friend-" Dana cleared her throat. "Okay, girlfriend, Dana." Dana smiled.

"Girlfriend?" Quinn blinked at them. "As in you're dating?"

"Yes."

"Since when were you into women? I mean, not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's just a bit of a surprise, that's all."

"That's okay, Gray pretty much had the same reaction. And as you can probably tell I'm still getting used to broaching the subject with people. But yes, Dana and I are in love and we've been seeing each other for a few months and we're very happy about it."

"Which is the most important thing," Quinn said, smiling. "And I'm happy for you, too."

"Thanks. That means a lot to me to have my family on my side. Hang on, what are you doing here?"

"Um, I spent the night with Gray."

Evie looked at her, confusion written all over her face. "Quinn, I don't want to dob on my brother or anything, but last night I bumped into Gray in the hallway and he was with another woman, a blonde."

Suddenly deep laughter erupted behind them. Everyone in the room spun around to face Gray who had joined them in the kitchen. He was shirtless and wore only a loose fitting pair of pyjama bottoms that rode ever so low on his waist. His hair was a riot and Quinn bit her lip at the sexiness.

"Jeez, Gray, haven't you got a shirt?" said Evie.

"I do," he said, "but someone seems to have stolen it." He slanted a glance at Quinn. She had no clothes of her own except for the ones she wore to dinner last night, so she'd picked up his flannel pyjama top off the floor and put it on when she came out into the kitchen to get breakfast started. On Gray, it fit snuggly, but on her, it came down to her thighs.
