Heels clicked against the pavement as a girl made her way towards the mall.

Lu Xi struggled to keep her balance on these heels even though they weren't very high. These light blue heels, as well as the dainty dress and parasol she had on, came from her mother's closet, which was full of clothes like this.

It was unclear to Lu Xi what she used these for as she had never seen her mother even touch these clothes, not to mention wear and use them.

Her appearance naturally attracted the eyes of passers-by because of its old-fashioned nature, and because Lu Xi was insanely attractive when she dressed right.

Normally, she would wear her school uniform. The sleeves of her blouse would be rolled up, and her skirt would be too high on her waist. The blonde hair she was blessed with would be haggard and messy, and finally, her face would be unkempt like she just woke up.

It was no exaggeration when she said that Zhou Lei wouldn't recognize her. She looked like a completely different person!

Looking at the bonnet on her head, the security guard rolled his eyes before letting Lu Xi inside without any problems. He had seen far weirder clothing in his long life, why would he be shocked by an outdated getup?

Once she felt the coldness of the air inside the mall, she compared it to the hot blazing sun outside, as well as the conditions within her home.

'Hah, the school and the mall has air conditioning. I wish I could live here instead of my parents' house...' She subconsciously didn't refer to where she lived as a 'home' anymore.

"Now then, where is that StarLars?"

Lu Xi walked over to a man using his phone while leaning on a glass wall.

The man had earphones on, but he could still hear the loud noise that the heels and the tiled floor made. He paused the game he was playing and pulled on the wire of one of the earphones, removing it from his ear. When he raised his head, an incredibly beautiful girl was walking towards him, wearing an attire he could only consider as "old-school".

From that point, he had unreasonable expectations to the temperament and the voice of the lady in front of him. He thought that she would be a composed and polite girl.

"What is it?" He initiated the conversation. What he learned from his roommates, who all had girlfriends already, was that to attract a lady's attention, one needed to take the initiative.

"Mister Beanie, where is the coffee shop? Tell me!"

Contrary to the man's expectations, the girl in front of him possessed a rough voice, and coupled with her aggressive tone, the image of a "prim and proper lady" was shattered in his mind.

However, he didn't start disliking her for that. Instead, it made him like her even more. 'Th- th- the gap is so cute, it's not even funny!'

His short-lived daze was stopped when he heard his friend's voice go through the remaining earphone in his ear. "Dude, what're you doing? Let's continue."

"Ah, you play it yourself, I'm in the middle of something..." Right after that, he disconnected the call through his phone and exited the game. He slid his phone down his backpocket and adjusted his beanie. "Ah, what were you asking again?"

"I'm, uh, asking about the coffee shop." Lu Xi felt awkward repeating the question she asked earlier.

"Which coffee shop? There's SunBucks, Co. Fee, StarLars, among others." The man rejoiced for he had just learned this information when he got sucked into a clickhole on Wikipidia last night.
