Chapter 8

Amelia's POV
      It's been a week since I spoke to Damien.i texted him that night to see if he got home or not.i'm no longer mad at Cassie I actually do miss her.she keeps me company.swallowing my pride I text her

           Me:Hey can we talk

     I got a reply immediately like she's been waiting for me to text her or she was about to text me.

      Cassie:yes I'm so sorry I will come over

       I know she's sorry and I know we have both missed each other.im also sorry I wanted to tell her but I couldn't do it over the phone.i will apologize when we meet.

       Me:I'm not home cass I will meet you after work okay?
          
     Cassie:okay love

     Sometimes we just need to swallow our pride.

   i feel better at last I'll have someone to talk to. I haven't been alone since I left home and before I met Cassie.

   Damien didn't call or text me I feel a little sad about it.i thought we could be friends I mean he promised to come over for dinner if I invite him. Oh shit he is probably waiting for me to invite him over.i didn't even think of that.ughh why isn't my brain functioning right
What if he thought I don't want to be friends with him? What if he is just busy ? What if something happened?... stopping with the what if's' I went to continue my work.

     I reached home late and saw Cassie sleeping on the couch.rolling my eyes she just had to.i know she had a spare key but I mean she would have called me before she even got here.letting her rest I went to get blanket to cover her up.then I went to look for what to eat then I went to shower.then I heard the door open just went I was about to cover myself I screamed only for me to hear Cassie laughing like a crazy person I couldn't help but laugh with her.i walked out of the bathroom putting my hands on hips I scolded her

     'You idiot do you want to kill me ?'I said glaring at her with a little smile on my face

    'I'm sorry I needed to make you smile before you throw me out'.she said

     'It's okay Cassie I'm fine with you don't just do it again.i got really scared.you are all I have left.are you just getting up ? I asked while getting dressed.

      I walked to her and hugged her she did the same

       'I missed you and I promise I'll never try it again but I thought I texted you really I'm sorry.'she whispered

     'It's fine Cassie even though I was really mad then.did you eat something? Are you hungry?'

    'No I'm not hungry come let's watch a movie and it's girls night.its been a week God that's the longest I have stayed without talking to you.now we are going to tell each other all that what happened last week.'She said dragging me to the parlor.

    I chuckled Just then I knew we are totally fine with each other.she talks a little too much but I love her she has been here for me.the movie started we both didn't like scary movie so we settled for a comedy drama.after it was over we both got into the bed.cassie told me everything that happened.how she met a guy named mike in the club,how they slept with each other,how he left.i got pissed hearing that he left her but she assured me it was okay and he apologized and now they are going on a date tomorrow by 6.im happy for her and I pray something good is going to come out of it.

     I told Cassie about Damien and everything that happened.she had a dreamy face when I said he refused to let me take the bus i laughed .when i told her how we haven't even spoken in a week her face fell.i know girl I feel sad about it too but still I went on telling her about the dinner he promised to come for if I invited him over.

    'I think You should tell him to come over since I won't be here tomorrow.'she suggested

  I thought about it and it didn't seem like a bad idea.i agreed then took my phone and texted him but he didn't reply.cassie said he should probably busy he will reply later.after talking for a while we drifted off to sleep.

     'Wakey wakey you lazy ass your boss is going to sack you.its 10am already'

      Shit I practically jumped up from bed and started panicking.i havent even brush or done anything.

      'Cassie I'm going to get firedddd he pays me just fine it's not much but okay.my job is boring but it's just okay too.' I panicked

    'Can you shut up it's not even up to 7am Amelia'

    I glared at her 'you almost gave me a fucking heart attack CASSANDRA OLIVER'

    She laughed and said 'you should have seen your face.'

     I took a pillow and threw at her face then ran into the bathroom

   'AMELIA HAZEL KING I'm going to kill you bitch!!'

     She tried opening the door but I locked it .i laughed my ass and said 'I'm not the bitch but payback is.'

     'Ugghhh you better sleep there.' She said

   I did my business and came out .i saw Cassie with my phone and a grin on her face

    'He said I'll keep to his words' she squealed

   I couldn't help but laugh.feeling happy I quickly dressed up.we ate and said our goodbyes then I left for work.
