Chapter 8

1 MONTH LATER

Tris P.O.V

The situation with Andrew hasn't gotten any better.

He keeps doing what he wants with me since the first time.

I keep lying to Tobias and my friends.

When Tobias has me in his arms is the only time I feel safe.I only use baggy clothes especially long sleeve shirts,so they cover the scars that Andrew gave me and that I gave myself.

The school day was a blur.

I put on my fake smile like I always do and hold back everything.

I hug Tobias at the end of the day and leave home.

"Finally you come home up to your room now!"yells Andrew.

I hurry up to my room.

Minutes later Andrew comes in.

"Do you know what your mother did?"

I shake my head.

"She tried to accuse me with the police,"He says."So she was already punished now it's your turn.Put your hands on the wall and take your shirt off."

I do as he says and I hear him unbuckle his belt.

This is the first time he's whipped me.

The first whip comes and the pain travels through me and I feel hot blood run down my back.

After 25 more he leaves me and I collapse to the floor.I cry.

Then someone comes in through the window.

It's Tobias.

"Tris.Oh my gosh."

"Tobias leave please."

"No c'mon to the restroom."

I follow him and sit on the closed toilet seat.

He finds the first aid kit and begins to heal my back.

"Tris who did this to you?"He asks after my torso is bandaged.

I shake my head,"Andrew.My dad."I whisper.

"I'm going to kill him."

"No.I promised him that you wouldn't find out because if you did he would hurt you."

"I don't care. I can't have him hurting you."

"Please Tobias please."

He nods and replies,"I want you out of this house for as much time only come at night or come to my house."

I nod.

I kiss him and he kisses back.

"I love you,Tobias."

"I love you,Tris more than you can ever imagine."
