Will was not fond of Halloween. The holiday celebrating everything spooky and scary. No wonder he hated it. Mason promised to spend the holiday with him if he got too scared. Mason was obviously trying to flirt but please. Will's lived with Bill-his twin brother-for centuries, these cheap parlor tricks human's enjoy to play with. The movies were mildly disturbing, but there was another reason Will hated the holiday...

Will was a demon.

Okay, there's more to it then that. Sure, demon's get lot's more summons on Halloween, but the type of demon he is... combined with his overly nice personality.... Isn't always... Great... Like ever.

Demon's magic is like wine, in a sense. Certain demon's can bottle there magic deep within themselves. But summoned incorrectly, it can kill. On Halloween, demon magic isn't controllable. Rather then the demon controlling it, it control's the demon. In Hell, the demons would just reenact the movie the Purge... But the Ciphers had been exiled for well over a century.

And Will has never been good at keeping his emotions-which were tied to his powers-in check. In a sense, Will was an emotional mess.

---

Will was quiet today. Well, quieter then usual. Mason was beginning to become concerned for his Blueberry; the only times he was this quiet was when something was bothering him. Granted, the two of them were hanging out in the public library, rather then the Gleeful's private library.

Mason glanced up at the blue demon. Will was currently in his human form, reading a book about the history of Salem and the witch trials. Mason was reading a book about demonology. Mason had noticed his blueberry was antsy these past few days, so he'd figured he could do some research, but Ford had burned the demon-centric books in their private library. So now it was a library date with his blueberry.

The pair had gotten coffee, and now were just hanging out reading. It's not like they don't do this normally. It's just..... Not at the public library. Naturally, Will was kind of anxious. But why? Mason couldn't tell. He had an idea of two possible theories. One being Halloween, or maybe cause the two had never had a public date.

After reading more into demonolgy, Mason decided he should ask him. "Hey Will, you okay?"

Will looked at his boyfriend and smiled nervously. "I'm fine, Mason.. Just kinda tired."

"Wanna go home?"

"No, I'm fine..." Will sighed.

"Okay, just let me know if you wanna head home at any-"

"MASON GLEEFUL!!" Both Will and Mason jumped at the new voice. When they looked, it was Gideon Pines. He stomped angrily up to the two. "Well I'll be damned!"

"Hello to you too, Pines. What do you want?" Mason rolled his eyes.

"And Hell wasn't so bad," Will muttered.

"What in God's name are you doing here? Not living  it up in your mansion?"

"We just wanted to read," Will said.

"And what about your cousin, Pines? Isn't she always following you around? No, wait, you're always following her around!"

"Paz is busy, for your information! She was doing research and I thought I'd come help."

"You mean spy."

"What?! No! She's not even in this library anyway..."

"Mason, let's go..." Will said. Mason nodded and the two walked away, checking out their respective books, and leaving. On the walk home, Mason did ask Will about some of the stuff he saw in the book.

"Will, is it true that demons live in Hell."

"Yes, unless they're exiled." Will chuckled nervously.

"Hm... Can you see in the dark."

"Depends on the demon."

"What about powers?"

"Again, depends."

"What about things like Holy Water, and stuff?"

"Um, as far as I know, Cipher's have the most resistance to those things.. Like, invoking Gods' name or reading specific lines of the Bible won't hurt us. Holy Water, and Excorcisms can be deadly. But again, as far as I'm aware, only the Cipher's are immune to that stuff..."

"What about Halloween? Would that just be like some really fun, huge, party?"

Will hesitated, tensing slightly. "...No.... Not really... I mean, in Hell it was just a giant Purge reenactment. But, Demons aren't always that controllable during Halloween. Maybe it's cause Halloween falls on All Hallows Eve."

"That's..... Disconcerting."

Will chuckled slightly. "Don't worry, I''ve had thousands of years of practice at keeping my emotions in check." Will hesitated. "Yeah, we might wanna demon proof the mansion before tonight."

"Yeah, okay."

Later that night Will was hiding in the library crying. Mason was trying to find him, but it wasn't hard finding him. Everything within three rooms of Will was floating around and throwing themselves at the staff and Mable.

Mason couldn't tell if Will was mad, or sad. Will tended to cry for a lot of emotions. After walking into the library, he figured both. "Uh, Will?"

"WhAt?" Will looked at Mason, his eyes glowing.

"Do you just wanna be left alone?" Will nodded. "Okay." Mason closed the door and let his Blueberry be until morning.

HEY! So, this was kinda based off my own personal headcannon that Will can be just as dangerous as Bill. And my boredom fueled it. Anyway, have a nice day/night/whatever, Guys, Gals, and Nonbinary Pals! 😈✌Peace Out!✌😈
