Chapter 5

Shit!

Agad na itinulak ni Andy si Jake.
Namumula ang pisngi ni Andy sa hiya sa ginawa nya. Pinaypayan nya ang sarili gamit ang kanang kamay. Si Jake naman, nakatulala pa rin habang nakaupo sa sahig. Ito na ata ang pinaka mahabang 10 seconds ng buhay nila.

"Ehem." Basag ni Jake sa katahimikan na pumalibot sa kanilang dalawa. Silent, pero di awkward. Agad naman nahimasmasan si Andy at sinubukan niyang tumayo.

"Okay. So.. Bye." Ani ni Andy. Dere deretso ito palabas ng kitchen patungo sa hagdan paakyat ng 2nd floor.

"Je- Jean!" Tawag ni Jake.

"What?" Napatigil si Andy pag akyat. Pag tingin niya kay Jake, turo turo nito ang duguang braso. Literal na napa facepalm siya sa sarili. Niligtas na siya ni Jake sa aksidente, hinalikan pa niya out of nowhere tapos ngayon iniwanan nya kahit sugatan.

Tumakbo siya pabalik.

"Sorry. Sorry nawala sa isip ko."

"Ayos lang. Do you have any first aid kit? Para lang malinisan ko yun sugat?"

"I'll do it for you." Sagot ni Andy.

"No. Ako na. Kaya ko na-"

"I said I'll do it!" Pilit ng dalaga. Hinawakan niya si Jake sa kamay at hinila paakyat sa kwarto niya.

Unlike those rich kids na elegant at loud ang itsura ng room, Andy's room reflects her personality. King sized bed, a night stand, a simple dresser—all natural wooden furnitures, navy blue walls, sunburst mirror, simple drapes. Her bed which is a combination of grey and navy blue scheme was in the center. Minimalist, not so dark, not so girly, very—Andy.

"Sit."
Napatigil ang pag eexplore ng mga mata ni Jake ng tawagin siya ni Andy. Sinenyasan siya nito na umupo sa tabi niya sa may gilid ng kama. Ni hindi nga nya namalayan na nakuha na nito yung first aid kit. Sumunod naman siya sa utos ni Andy.

"Nice room." Compliment ni Jake.

"Thanks. It's my comfort zone." Tugon ni Andy habang sinimulan na nito ang pag gamot sa sugat ni Jake.

"I can see why. It's very...." hinanap ni Jake kung anung salita ang pinakamagandang ipang describe sa kwarto ni Andy.

"..boring?" Dugtong ni Andy

"No.. very..."

"..ungirly? If there's a word like that." Dugtong ulit ni Andy.

"No. It's very..."

"Anu nga?"

".. you. It's very you. Comforting. Charming." Finally he said it.

Napatigil si Andy sa pag gamot kay Jake. Tiningnan niya ito.

"May I ask you a question?" Kanina pa siya di mapakali at kanina pa rin niya di maintindhan ang nararamdaman niya.

"Sure." Pagpayag ni Jake.

"Who are you?" Tanong ni Andy. Bakas sa mga mata niya ang pagka confuse. Sino nga ba ang taong to? What is he?

"I'm Jake Angelo Fi—"

"No. No. Not like that." Putol ni Andy. Hindi niya maipaliwanag pero na mmisteryosohan siya kay Jake. She's always calm and collected, just like how her father wanted her to be, pero when she's with Jake, she seems frail and weak, and she hates it.

"Then what?" Tanong ni Jake.

"What are you? Who are you, really?" Tanong ulit ni Andy.

Pagkatanong niya ay nakita niya ang pagbabago sa mata ni Jake. Kanina lang his eyes were innocent. Pure. Pero now, those hazel brown eyes were digging into her soul, making her feel giggly all over. And she's not even the giggly type of girl. Nakatitig pa rin si Andy sa mata ni Jake at she didn't even realize how close their face was. Papalapit na ang mukha ni Jake sakanya  and saka lang siya naging aware sa nangyayare when Jake cupped her cheek. Napalunok siya.

Am I anticipating something? Tanong niya sa sarili.

She still didn't moved and Jake's face came closer. Closer and closer. So close that Andy can smell his breath.

Coffee. I wonder if he taste the same as the coffee that we had earlier.

Jake moved his hand from her cheek to the back of her head. Slowly he tilted his head and inched closer. It's slow and agonizing. She badly wanted to taste him. And it seems like he wanted it too. Napalunok si Andy. Her heart beats faster. Kinakabahan siya na naririnig ni Jake yung kabog nito. She closed her eyes. At dahan dahan dumampi ang labi ni Jake sa labi niya. Soft and moist. She didn't realized his lips is this plump. The kiss is really terrifying and thrilling at the same time. But she wanted more, and he wanted more of her. She grabbed the sides of his shirt, pulling him closer. He replied by using both of his hands in holding the back of her head. What once slow started to speed up. He was kissing her before. But now? They are kissing each other. She is kissing him back. And before she knew it, she felt his tongue asking for permission to deepen the kiss. And she did not hesitated. She opened her mouth for a deeper kiss.

Sweet.

There's a hint of coffee in his tongue but sweeter. The kiss is intoxicating. Their tongue tangled and battled and she was tasting every inch of his mouth. They kissed so passionately. If she's not that controlled she might even moan because of how good she's feeling. She don't know how long they've been kissing so when they pulled from each other. Wala siyang idea kung sino nagputol ng kiss, kung siya ba o si Jake. She's still dazed.

"I'm just a stupid geek." Bulong ni Jake sa tenga ni Andy. Sabay halik nito sa noo.

After nun tumayo na si Jake at iniwan si Andy na tulala pa rin sa nangyare.

"I'll see you at school." Paalam ni Jake.

Di na nagawa pang sumagot ni Andy. Di niya alam, anung nangyare. All she know is they kissed twice already. And it's not just a simple kiss but a full blown make out! In her own room! In her own bed! Did she liked it? Yes. Did she regret it? No. But it's not her usual self. Hindi siya ganun. Anu ba meron kay Jake at nagiging ganito siya pag sila lang ang magkasama.

That person who kissed her?

It's not Jake.

It's someone else.

And by hook or by crook, she's gonna find out who he is. No matter how many kisses it takes. At nahiga na si Andy sa kama habang gumugulong gulong sa kilig.
