Chapter 4 - Attack

Logan POV

I sit in class, daydreaming about my mate. 'I wonder where she is? She never came in today.' I watch the teacher explain the lesson on the board. 'I never got her number. Maybe I should stop by her house later on.'

The bell rings.

I look down to see my notebook being covered with little notes and letters with heart. I start to get annoyed, I stack them all nice and neat and place my notebook in my bookbag. I grab the notes on my way out and throw them away, I can practically hear the small gasp and from some of the girls in my class.

'I miss Violet.'

Violet POV

The sunbeams down on my face, I turn towards my window and smile. I decided to sleep in since I was having trouble sleeping last night. I got up and took a quick shower, chatting with Red on today's plans. For the most part, I'm going to practice my new powers today.

I never got Logan's number so I guess I'll get it when I head back to school. What's today again? I look through my phone to see it's Friday. When I get out and freshen up, I slip on some sweat pants and a tank top. It's 11 in the morning so I'll stop back at the house later to get some food for the animals later. On my way out I put my phone in my pocket, put on my kicks and lock the door behind me. I run into the forest, ready for today's training.

Once I get to the clearing I breathe in the fresh air, loving the cool breeze blowing against me. Red chuckles a bit, 'Are you ready Violet?' 

I start to strip, I fold my clothes and hide them in a bush nearby. "I'm ready."

I start to focus on my fox form, like before a warm feeling spreads throughout my body. I open my eyes, 'What should we do first Red?' 

'Let practice on hiding your tails, in order to do then since this is the first time you have to shrink as well. Like transforming from human to fox, concentrate, relax and do. Ok?'

'Ok'

I take a deep breath, I imagine a normal-sized fox. I open my eyes to see the world around me moving then it stops.

'Good, now focus on turning 8 tails into 1'

I start to imagine a normal fox, I swing my tails side to side. I turn around to see 1 big puffy foxtail. 'I did It!' 

I can hear Reds supportive cheers, I start to run through the forest enjoying myself. I see a stream up ahead so I slow down a bit. I take a quick break and drink some of the cool water. My peaceful moment gets interrupted by serval growls. I look around to see I've surrounded by wolves once again. 

Before I can even process an escape plan then pounce on me. I feel pain surge my body, then everything goes black.

Later~

I wake up to someone tossing me on the cold dirty floor and tying me up in thick heavy chains. I whimper but then completely ignore me, I look up to see a man looking down at me. "The Alpha will return to question you soon." He then leaves closing the door behind me, leaving me in the dark. 

Time passes I try to change back but I can't, Red is trying to calm me down but at this point, it's going through one ear and out the other. I don't know how much time has passed but the door soon opens again. 

I look away, lisenting to the footsteps coming near me. "Who are you and why are on my territory shifter?" I turn to see it's Logan, I start to relax then he growls at me. "Where is my mate!? What did you do to her!" 

I close my eyes and focus on my tails, I could feel them coming back to me. He gasps but I continue to grow in size, I try to grow into my original size but I can barely fit in the cell. The chains break as I grow, I lean down and sniff Logan's scent. 

I close my eyes again focusing on transforming on my human form. I open my eyes to see a shocked Logan, I cover my privites with my hands. "V-violet!?"

I try to walk over to him but I stumble and fall. I look down to see scratches and broozes all over my legs and judging by the pain all over my body theres more. I look up to see Logan with his eyes closed, he takes off his shirt and walks over to me. 

"Lift your arms, my eyes are closed."

He seemed a bit nervous but I appreciated him covering his eyes, I lift my arms helping me help me put the shirt on. "You can open your eyes." He does and gives me a sad smile.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you, I didn't kno-" 

I cut him off, "It's ok Logan."

He picks me up and looks down at me, I give him a reassuring smile. He returns it, then we walk out of the prison. He carries me through the large house, we end up running into the same men who took me here.

"Have you seen the rouge Shifter?" 

Logan growls at them, "That shifter was my mate!" I watch as then cower in fear fumbling on there words. "Stop!" 

Logan stops growling and looks down at me, I look at the men in front of me. "It's your job to protect?" They nod, "Yes Luna." 

I smile, "Well, keep up the good work! You didn't know who or what I was so it's not your fault that I'm hurt. I should have been more careful."

I look up ay Logan, "I'm ok Logan, so don't be mad at them. Please?"

He gives me a defeated sigh and nods, I kiss his cheek, "Thank you."

"We're sorry!"

The guys in front of me give me sad expressions but I smile, "It's cool."

Logan and I continue our journey, we finally walk through a white door. 

I look around to see we're in an infirmary.
