Aly's POV:
"Oh my god..." I looked around at the city burning below us. Kiwi was speechless, Ten sat down dangling her legs off the edge of the building, and Wolf and Omega were hugging eachother crying. I sat next to Ten.
"Someone must have got out and bit an officer." She said. I guess all of us are still holding on to the slight hope that those things were still a little bit human, even though we know already they're not.
"It's a good thing Your friends and Kiwi showed up when they did or we'd probably be dead." I hear Ten sigh. "Hey, are you good?
"Yeah, just thinking about my family..." she said. Kiwi came over and sat too.
"I wonder how this all started?" She questioned. "I mean, do you think someone got sick and it developed into this, or what?"
Something clicked in my head and I got up and thought back to when we were in the bathroom.
"Ten...earlier...you said, and I quote, '...and draw HIM to us.'" She looked nervous, tired, and sad. "You know how this all started don't you?"
She nodded and a tear slipped out of her eye.
"Yes." She whispered. "I knew him. He was my closest friend next to those two." She said, nodding at Wolf and Omega. "I've always known there was something wrong with him, but I never suspected he would snap and do something like this. He heard the uniforms announcement and just freaked out, pulling a needle out of his bag and stabbing the kid next to him. I didn't know what to do and he just smiled at me creepily so I ran..."
Ten started sobbing and I was about to try to comfort her when I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I spun around and saw nothing. There it was again! I crept towards the door to check it and saw the axe was missing and the door was opened slightly. I looked around for the axe and saw nothing and shut the door. Suddenly I felt someone's presence behind me. I spun and ran at them, pinning them to the ground with their head dangling off the edge of the roof.
"F*co! Please don't kill me!" They yelled. The others looked, noticing the commotion.
"Hey, what's going on!?" Wolf asked, running to us.
"This idiot was trying to sneak up on me!" I said, tightening my grip on his throat.
"No! No, I was just going to ask if I could join up with you! Honest!!" He said through choked breaths.
"You zoomed us across the fricken building...what the hell are you?!""That's Flint," Ten said."Let him up."
"Why should I?" I said. I tightened my grip again and he yelped. I was staring to feel warm despite the chilling breeze blowing past us.
"Because we could use more people. Besides, he got the door open and we could use that kind of skill..." Omega said quietly.
She was right...I released him, but as soon as I did a smell filled the air. I looked at his throat and saw burn marks where my hands had been. Then they started to bleed. My throat went dry and I zoomed across the roof to get myself away.
"I knew it! I could smell it on you!!" Omega yelled. Ten and Kiwi looked at her confused. "She's a hybrid, a half elemental and half vampire!" She explained. "That's why he's burnt and why she moved away at the smell of his blood."
Crap. Kiwi's gonna kill me. Before I could say anything, a zombie flew through the door and lunged at her. We screamed and I prepared to attack, but the zombie's head fell to the ground with a thud. Flint stood there with the axe, his arms slightly shaking. Kiwi was splattered with blood and it was getting kinda hard to breath with it all. I was fine downstairs because I had time to prepare but with it being so sudden up here, I had no control whatsoever.
"I didn't need your help." Kiwi snapped, glaring.
"Well I think you did, so you're welcome." Flint replied. He turned and walking away, swinging the axe and whistling. Wolf shut the roof door, then walked towards me, drawing a knife which caused me to growl. She cut herself with it.
"Drink, I trust you." She said. I tried to say no. "Drink!" She ordered.
I drank for a good 5 minutes before my thirst was quenched. Stepping back I looked at wolf, who wasnt even a little fazed by the blood loss.
"How..." I asked.
"You're not the only supernatural. My blood replenishes as fast as it's depleted. Only way to kill me is to cut my head off or stab my heart. Now, everyone come here!" She yelled, causing everyone to gather around her. "Let's make a pact. If any of us gets infected, the first one to see them has to kill them, ok?"
I nodded. I looked around yo see the others grimly nodding too.
"Okay than, obviously we cant stay here, so let's find a way out." I said.
"Wait, doesn't that mean..." Flint said glancing towards the door.
"Yes. We have to go back inside." I said.
