Kiwi's POV:

We were walking around in Riverside Grocery Store filling our bags with as much food and water bottles as we could. Flint and I were at the front of the store and Ten was at the back.

"Hey, we should get ice cream!" I said to Flint. He looked at me funny and I blushed, a little embarrassed. "It's just that since the world is ending now, we might not get the chance to have ice cream ever again, and it'll melt, and that's just a waste of good food..."

"True.. " he said. "In that case we should grab some for the others too."

"Okay, but I get first dibs!" I said, lunging to the machine. 5 minutes later we had 6 good looking cups of ice cream. "Where is Ten?" I asked, suddenly realizing we hadn't seen or heard her for a while. "TEN!!" I yelled. Suddenly she came around a corner, almost bumping in to me.

"I packed my bag full of food." She said while chewing on a chocolate bar.

"So did we." Flint said.

"And we got ice cream!" I added.

"Oh god..." I heard Ten mutter under her breath. Ignoring her, I turned to Flint and said,

"We should start heading back now."

"Agreed." He replied.

We started heading back, and, surprisingly, just like the walk to the store, there were only a few zombies. While we crossed the bridge that led to the skate park near the school, one of them tried to attack us, but Flint pushed over the railing.

We sat at the park waiting for the others to show up and watching as their ice cream started to melt.

"Maybe I should eat them..." I started saying, but then they showed up.

"You got us ice cream!" Aly said.

"Yeah." I answered.

"Thanks, you're the best Kiwi!" Omega and Wolf hugged me.

"Hey, I helped too!" Flint complained.

"Oh, sorry Flint, you did great too." Aly said sarcastically, but Flint didn't catch it.

"Really!" He said, almost excited.

"No." Aly rolled her eyes and stuffed ice cream in her face.

"Where do we go now, guys?" Omega said through a mouthful.

"I think it would be best if we checked each of our houses to see if our families are alright. Think about it, we need all the help we can get, and we can't just leave them." I said. Everyone agreed, but Flint was hesitant and looked uncomfortable. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked.

"My family's in France right now. And also, don't you think it's a little risky? What if they've turned? Your families I mean. We could get hurt!" He said. We all thought about it, but in the end we decided we should go anyways.

"By the way, how exactly are we planning on getting to our homes? We've been lucky so far, but we can't just walk everywhere...that would be stupid." Aly said, finishing her cup of ice cream.

"How about we just take one of the cars that's in the school parking lot?" Wolf said.

"Good idea! That helps us with more then just getting around, too. We don't have to carry all this stuff around." I said, glancing at the many additional plastic bags filled with food that Team Super A brought. We headed towards the school and stopped before entering the grounds. There were a lot of zombies wandering in the parking lot.

We snuck by as many as we could by hiding behind vehicles that were too small. There was a eight seated van a few cars away when we heard the gurgling noise of a zombie behind us. I turned to see all the zombies looking our way and preparing to attack.
