KIWI'S POV:
I was crawling through the vents, trying as best I could not to make a sound just in case there was a zombie or someone dangerous down there. I had jumped back into the vents I the office as soon as I saw the giant group of zombies heading towards Aly and Ten. I thought it would be better if I tried to find a safer room or some weapons, but that was before I got lost up here. I haven't seen another vent out since I got up here.
Suddenly I saw one. Oh thank god! I thought as I kicked it open and jumped down into the hallway pretty much right outside the office. I had gone in a circle almost...that means if I had taken a right instead of a left when I got up, I would have been out a long time ago. Well f*ck... I pulled out my walkie-talkie and tried to reach the girls.
"Ten, Aly, do you hear me?" Nothing. I try again, but no one answers. I thought they might just be pranking be despite the dire situation we were in, so I tried one more time
"Ha ha guys. Very funny. Now answer me." When I still didnt get a response, I began to worry that something bad had happened to them. I knew I had to fi d them and checked the hall and cafeteria again to make sure the cost was clear. It was, but it was also really quiet. I had to keep my guard up. I ran across the cafeteria to the girls bathroom we started in, but they weren't there. All I could see were dead zombies everywhere. Then, breaking the silence, I thought I heard someone call my name.
"KIWI!!!" It was Aly and Ten and it was coming from upstairs. I ran out of the bathroom and up the stairs. When I got out of the stairwell, i turned right and kept running, their voices getting louder as I got closer. U made a left turn and they finally came into my view.
"Kiwi!" Aly and Ten said in unison. There were also two other girls who introduced themselves as Wolf and Omega. After hugging, I glared at them all.
"Do you all have a death wish? Yelling is going g to draw the zombies right to us!!" I whisper yelled, looking around. "I-" I started to say that they still have ears, but before I could a bunch came around the corner almost running.
"I thought zombies were supposed to be slow!!!" Aly yelled.
"Doesn't matter now, RUN!!!" I yelled back. "Head to the roof!" We all went into the stairwell that led to the door to the roof, but when we got there, the door was locked. "Wolf, Omega, buy us some time!" They turned to the stairs and the zombies that were pouring in and Wolf turned into a wolf and pounced. I didnt have time to be surprised and turned to Aly. "Pass me that fire extinguisher." I said pointing behind her. I sprayed the door knob, then started hitting it with the extinguisher.
"We cant hold them off much longer!" Omega yelled, struggling to push back three zombies. There was an axe that had been in the same place as the extinguisher and Aly passed it to me. I swung it over my head, the BANG! The door swung open and we all rushed through, Wolf and Omega pushing the zombies back one last time. I shut the door and saw that there was a place to slide a board through to bar the door and I put the axe in it.
"They won't be getting through there..." I said, talking about the zombies. I turned and saw the others looking out at the town. "What are you guys looking at?" I asked and walked towards the edge of the roof for a better view. I was speechless. There were buildings on fire, people screaming and crying, cars crashing, and a whole bunch of zombies.
