Ten's POV
"I could really use a soda, but I'm not going in that mess for one." I said to Aly.
"We're in a state of emergancy, and all you can think of is soda?" Aly questioned.
"Well, yeah. I got nothing else, so yeah, I guess so." I joked as I opened one of the roll up windows in the cafeteria to see if there was food on the counters.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!" Aly yelled.
"What? I am hungry. I've been in that bathroom for at least 2 hours and its past lunch. If I don't eat, I will get migrains." I said bluntly. I continue to look for food on the counter.
"But those things, those monsters will hear as soon as you put the roll top back down!" She whisper yelled.
"Shhhh." I said as I looked around.
"What? Is it-" Aly was cut off by a loud scream from behind one of the counters.
"Damn it." I said as I grabbed a knife for protection as one of the students from cooking class jumped out trying to bite me. At the same time I dropped my walkie-talkie. Suddenly I heard glass shatter beside me.
"Aly, are you okay? I heard-" I stopped when I saw Aly stab the zombified student with a shard of broken glass. I was too shocked to say anything.
Pshzhzh!
"Aly!! Are you guys ok? I heard a scream and glass breaking." said Kiwi.
"Y-yah I'm good. Aly just saved me from a...a zombie..." I said as I pushed the body off me.
"Psh-pshz-zh-zh guys I zzzt I see shhhhh a lot of th-pshzhh" ...
"Kiwi? Are you okay? I couldn't hear what you said, just-" I stopped talking when I turned to the office and saw a giant group of zombies coming at Aly and I. "Ruuuuun!!!" I yelled as I picked up my walkie-talkie and knife.
Aly and I ran into the gym, which was a terrible idea because there were more in there.
"Crap, there everywhere!" I said as I stabbed more of them.
"Ugh...what do we do now?" Aly said. As I was killing monsters, I was thinking of a plan. Then it hit me. "Grab the tennis net! Maybe we can tie them up!" I said.
We both ran to the tennis net.
"Grab that side!!!" I yelled. We grabbed the net and ran around the group of monsters as many times as we can. We then stabbed the few that weren't tangled up in the net.
"Ten? Is that you?" I turned to see a werewolf standing by the bathroom door. She had glasses and her ears and tail were black with a white tip on the tail. She was wearing a brown t-shirt.
"Wolf!!! Oh my God I'm so glad your okay!" I said with tears forming in my eyes.
"Who's this Ten?" Aly asked.
"Oh sorry. Aly, this is Wolf." I said, relieved that Wolf was okay. Then I noticed that the walkie-talkie was picking something up.
"Kiwi? Hey are you okay?" I worridly said.
"Kiwi you better be okay." Aly said a few seconds later.
"What now?" Wolf asked looking at the broken glass scattered everywhere from the windows.
"I don't know...we've got to find Kiwi." I said looking in a class room for survivors. I took out my phone and put an earbud in to listen to music.
"Why are you trying to listen to music in a time like this?" Wolf asked me.
"I don't really know...music keeps me calm...same with drawing." I happily said while remembering drawing a lot in the past as a brat. I'm glad I'm not like that anymore...
__________
It's been an hour since the walkie-talkie last got something.
"Kiwi where did you go..." I whispered under my breath in concern.
"I DON'T GET IT! We've circled the school like 6 times and haven't found Kiwi!!!" yelled Aly.
"You would've thought we saw her by now...we walked around the whole school..." Wolf questioned. Now that I thought about it, I hadn't seen much of anyone, including Thomas. Did he die or turn in to one of those things? What if he has Kiwi? I snapped back to reality to see the vending machine and as usual I checked my pockets for change.
"Awwww..." I whined. Aly laughed.
"Okay...there's a chair, just throw it at the glass and get your soda." She said.
"Okay, I will." I said grabbing the chair and walking to the machine.
"Wait, I was joking-" I cut her off by chucking the chair. To my surprise it actually worked. I reached through the glass and grabbed the soda I wanted.
"Finally!" I said happily. I opened my drink and took a sip. Everyone was looking at me weird, so I said, "What? I did what Aly said. Do you guys want one?" I asked.
"Sure, it wouldn't hurt." said Wolf, grabbing one.
"I wonder why this all happened?" Aly questioned. I laughed under my breath.
"I'm just going to ignore that question.." I said to myself, looking away. I saw a shadow disappear around the corner. "Hey!"
I ran to the corner only to see no one was there.
"What the hell! I saw a shadow here..." I said. Maybe I was imagining things...
"Hey guys, maybe Kiwi broke or lost her walkie-talkie." said Wolf.
"I never thought of that..." I said while looking at the grad photos on the wall.
"I hope she's okay..."Aly said, sounding worried.
"Hey Aly? I don't know why, but I feel like I've met you before..." I said as i found my brothers grad photo. She looked a little panicked for a minute before turning and continuing to walk. I sigh and wondered if we were ever going to get out of this hell hole so I can go home to see my family again.
