I still felt Blaise's hand in mine, but it cold, and lifeless.
I could hear what was happening. "Is she okay?" I heard my mom speak. "We managed to revive her enough and get her heart stabilized. They should be waking up soon." I heard Demi sniffle. "I-I lost her Lauren, she's g-gone..."
no. She was alive! I swear she was!
I'm going back to get her. I used every last bit of my essence to go back into the spirit realm. "Her heartbeat is dropping! CPR now! Get them out of here!" I left my body.
I looked around. "Blaise?" I called out. "Ember..." I grabbed her hand. "Hurry, we don't have much time!"
I looked at her and grabbed both of her hands. "I need you to use you're essence, I'm weak." She nodded and exposed it to me. We shut our eyes and I gripped her hands.
I repeated the spell to go home, and I felt her warm hand in mine as we were back in our own realm. Beep beep beep
Beep beep beep
The heart monitor sounded. "She's back. So is the second one."
The doctor watched astonished. "How is that possible."
The nurse looked at him. "A miracle." The doctor nodded and I sat up weakly. "Hey, hey, stay down sweetie. You're weak." My neck brace forbid me from speaking. I felt a squeeze come to my hand and looked over at Blaise. Her eyes slowly opened and she smiled weakly at me. Our parents bursted in and looked at us wide eyed. "Blaise!!" Demi rushed to her side. She hugged her tightly. Mom rushed to mine as well as the girls. "You scared the shit out of me! Don't ever do that again!" Once the doctors left I said. "I had t-to...." I struggled to speak and she stopped me. "Shh, baby stop. Just rest. We'll talk later. I nodded and we all slept in the hospital that night. All of us in the same room. Blaise's hand never left mine and I could never get enough of feeling her warm, soft, and comforting hand in mine.
