Emberlyn's POV
It's been ten whole years since everything happened that year, and since then houses have started being made on the upper part of the woods. There was one house that was close, but not that close enough to see from the distance. Mom has been very worried of someone finding out about us. She's been freaking out an- "Ember get down here!" I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. "You're going to school." I looked at her like she was crazy. "School?! I'm seventeen!" She nodded. "We can't risk being found out, so we must look like a normal family." I sighed, but nodded knowing that I couldn't win this fight. Ally watched me sadly walk up the stairs. Oh right! Dinah and Mani moved out after they built a house by the stream. So it's just Mom, Ally, Sinu, and My other Mom. I went into my room and sat on my bed. I shut my eyes and felt the stinging sensation as I looked around and saw Mama C and Grandma Sinu, along with some other people. "Mom Who are these people?" She sighed.
"I didn't want you to meet them like this baby, but this is your grandma and grandpa on your mom's side along with your aunt Taylor, and uncle Chris." My eyes grew wide. "Mom's going to be crushed! This is complete bullshit!" Mama immediately brought me into her arms. "Shh, Shh, baby your mother is doing the best she can under these circumstances." I cried into her chest. She held me close and Grandma Sinu brought me into her embrace knowing Mama had to greet the new guests. "Why are you guys here? Shouldn't you be with the family at your place?" Mom spoke to them. "I wanted to meet my granddaughter. But I see that this isn't a good time." The older version of Mami spoke. Her green eyes matching Mami's. I soon calmed down and Sinu kissed my forehead. "Why don't you go clean up, and come meet your family baby?" I nodded and rushed up the stairs to go wash my face.
I came back downstairs and greeted the family. "Hi everyone, I'm Emberlyn." The older version of Mami smiles brightly. "Gosh, you're so precious baby! Lauren has done so good, you look just like her." I looked at her. "Uhmm, actually-"
"Yeah, she has. Hasn't she Clara?" Mama spoke and eyed me in a way, to tell me not to address that situation and I nodded, clearing my throat and speaking with my aunt and uncle.
"Hi, I'm Chris, and this is my sister Taylor." I smiled. "It's nice to meet you two."
"And I'm your grandpa Mike!" Mami's father spoke as he scooped me up off of my feet. I laughed as he tickled me. "Grandpa! Put me down!" He laughed along with me and set me onto my feet, a smile dancing on our faces.
"Now baby, why don't you go and tell your mom the news...I'm sure she'd want to hear it from you and no one else." I sighed and nodded at Mama before shutting my eyes and whispering the spell. I felt myself drift away and ran down the stairs to mom, but before I could say anything, her phone rang. "Hello?" She spoke into it.
"W-What...? T-That's not possible! All of them?! N-No!" Tears formed into her eyes as Aunty Ally immediately hugged her. "Shh, Lauren what is it honey?" Mom dropped the phone and it cracked. "They're gone! They're all gone!" She cried into Ally's chest. "Mom, they're not gone." She looked at me.
"I met them. Aunty Taylor, uncle Chris. Grandma Clara and Grandpa Mike. They're all here. They wanted to be with us Mami." She hugged me tightly. "What would I do without you?" I smiled. "Okay as for you Miss Ember. You have school tomorrow." I pouted. "Mom I'm seventeennnnn!"
"Sometimes you act like your 7. But anyways, we have to make sure that we look normal." I sighed but nodded in understanding.
"Now go get some rest. Full moon tonight, which also means that you my dear will be paired with a familiar." I smiled. "Finally!"
She smiled as well. "Now go upstairs and when you wake up, the full moon will be up and your familiar will be outside." I nodded and ran upstairs like a kid on Christmas and got under my covers. "Night Mama, night Grandma Sinu, night Grandma and Grandma Jauregui, night Aunty Tay and Uncle Chris! Love you!" I smiled and shut my eyes.
