We were in the car and paying attention to the song that was on the radio. Demi focused on the road but didn't see the car that was running the red light...
It all happened so fast. The car hit into Blaise's side of the car. She used her body to shield me.
I heard Demi's scream and everything turned black.
Minutes later

"Come on wake up! Please! Wake up!"
I felt someone shaking me and I opened my eyes. I winced and tried to get up, but a sharp pain was felt throughout my side. I screamed out in pain. "Shh, the ambulance is on its way!"
Demi tried to wake up Blaise. No response. I tried my hardest to get closer to her, to touch her.
I grabbed her hand.
It felt cold. No spark, no essence, she was just a body. "N-No!!" I screamed. I grasped at her body. "B-Blaise! Please! Wake up!" Tears ran down my cheeks as my vision started to blur. It went in slow motion as the medics arrived and lifted my body and Blaise's into the ambulance.
My vision became blurry. "Come on Sweetie! What's your name? I need you to stay awake for me!" The medic spoke. "E-Ember...." I spoke. She placed a neck brace over my neck and out pressure on my wound. "Come on, Who's your friend? Hmm? What's her name?" I couldn't speak, the pain became to much...
My eyes shut and Demi panicked. Pitch darkness filled my vision. I felt myself drift off, as if I were using my power, but I wasn't.
I woke up in the ambulance and standing above my body. I saw Blaise standing above her's. "Blaise!" I hugged her tightly. "Ember!" She cried into my chest. "We're dead! W-We're dead!" I shook my head. "No we aren't. Not yet."
I grabbed her hand in mind.
A bright light formed over my vision. "No! Ember!" I held onto her for dear life, along with my body. "No! Not right now! I shut my eyes tightly, trying not to look at the bright light.
But it was too late....
