"georgie!"
a bundle of giggles erupted from the small child, his hands flying to his stomach.
you playfully rolled your eyes at him, your hand delicately wiping the frosting the boy had spread on to your cheek.
with a mischievous smile, you reach the piping bag filled with the sweet consistency.
georgie laughed loudly, his arms wrapping around you as you smeared icing into his hair.
"y/n!" he exclaimed, barely even able to get the word out as his breath was taken by his unstoppable laughter.
georgie denbrough, a cutie.
you couldn't help but smile at his state. his amusement was contagious.
"you gotta calm down, buddy." you giggled, smiling at him. "you'll wake your brother up."
immediately, georgie stopped his laughter, nodding with an excited smile, "you got it, captain!"
he zipped his lips, throwing away his imaginary key.
you chuckled at him, ruffling his hair.
"you think billy'll like them?" georgie asked, dipping his hand into the bag of sprinkles, popping them into his mouth.
you copied his actions, eating a few sprinkles yourself. "course, kiddo. he'll love them."
georgie looked at me for a while, and nodded with a smile.
bill denbrough.
the most selfless and caring human being you knew.
bill would be turning fifteen tomorrow, an exciting event for both you and his family.
you loved bill to pieces - he was your favorite person.
the denbroughs had been like a second family to you, so you were extremely close with all of them.
"you think we'll get the cupcakes done before he wakes up?" georgie softly asked, stepping on the step-stool to wash his sprinkle-covered hands.
you nodded, a smile on your face. "course, hun. all we need to do is add some more decorations, and hopefully we'll be done."
georgie nodded, walking back over to you.
"i think they look pretty good." he announced, grabbing one and examining it.
the both of you decided to play safe and make vanilla cupcakes, as it'd be less likely for bill to like chocolate.
you had made strawberry icing, as you had felt it'd go best with the vanilla.
the whole "make cupcakes for bill" idea was all planned by georgie himself.
"i love billy and want to make this the best birthday ever."
- an exact quote from him.
of course, you had agreed, and here you were, three hours later, with finished cupcakes.
"it's almost midnight." georgie spoke quietly, an excited smile on his face.
you nodded, "go get your mom and dad, georgie."
he happily nodded, quickly getting out of his seat and rushing to the denbrough's room.
a smile on your face lingered as you watched him practically skip away.
not soon after, the family entered the kitchen, all wide awake in the late hours of the night.
"oh, y/n they look lovely!" mrs. denbrough exclaimed, her eyes falling on the plate of cupcakes. mr. denbrough nodded along, smiling.
"well, it was mostly georgie." you smiled, nudging the boy.
he shyly grinned.
"here, wait." you spoke, grabbing a packet from the counter.
you quickly opened it, grabbing the two pieces from inside.
you gently placed them on to one of the cupcakes, grabbing a lighter and igniting them.
15.
the candles were pretty and blue, a contrast from the pink icing.
"i think we're ready." you nodded, grabbing the plate. your eyes trailed to the father clock on the side of the kitchen.
11:58
with the denbroughs trailing behind you, you began to make your way to bill's room.
you opened the door as quietly as possible, cringing a bit when it squeaked.
bill was laid in bed, a small smile on his face as he slept.
he looked adorable.
from across the hallway, the father clock rung, signaling a new hour.
you crowded around his bed, and mr. denbrough gave a quiet countdown on his fingers.
1.
2.
3.
"happy birthday to you,"
bill's eyes slowly opened.
"happy birthday to you,"
a shy smile was forming on his face.
"happy birthday dear bill,"
you sat yourself beside him, brushing a hair out of his face and placing the candle-lit cupcake in front of him.
"happy birthday to you."
and he blew it out.
