Third POV———————————————

Steven woke up to the smell of pancakes and the sight to of rain. He walked up to the window pressing his face up to it the rain was coming down quite heavily. He ran down the stairs and jumped into a seat next to amethyst and garnet as pearl served him a plate. "So"pearl asked "have any special plans for today, Steven" "nope"he replied finishing off his pancakes. "REALY?" Pearl said surprised "what is it" Steven said looking confused
"You know the thing you've been talking about for weeks" amethyst said raising her arms in the air
"Hmmm still not ringing any bells he said with a shrug"."connie" garnet spoke at these words Stevens eyes widened in all the excitement of pancakes he had forgotten that today was the day connie was coming home. He immediately ran up stairs to tidy up.

Pearls POV
Steven seemed more exited than I thought he'd be.
"He definitely likes her" amethyst blurted out as she ate the plate "that's not true there just friends" I said. "When's the last time you've seen him so eger to clean his room" amethyst said with a smile "that is true but still" I said "fine wanna make a bet" she said pulling 20$ out of her gem "ok I will" I said pulling twenty dollars out of my own gem "garnet you in" amethyst asked "we put forty on them being together she grinned.
Over at connie her POV
I walked out of the large building that had been my home for the past two weeks spotting my parents car I look around for them. "Well I guess this is good bye. But I'll see you agian once school starts up agian in a mouth" I laughed hugging her friend "yeah. Oh and before I forget take this" she she hands me a piece of paper with her number "ok will keep in touch but I have to go my parents are calling me" I said as I run off "BYEEEEEEEE"she yells as she runs in the other direction "BYEEEEE" I yell back as I hope in my parents car.
Third person POV

" hi dad" connie yells as she gets in the car giving him a hug "hey sweety" he says hugging back
"So how was it"he asks as he starts to drive off
"It was great I learnt all kinds of things I made a friend" she said "that's great now we do need to talk about something" he asked "yeah" she replied
"I got a call from one of the workers saying a lion appeared in the room kidnapped you than dropped you back later" he said Connie stayed silent "now I'm pretty sure I know what happened that lion is that Steven boys. so you probably willing went to help defeat the pink spaghetti lady and her big drill thing, am I close". " yes" she replied "ok. Good just next time tell the counselors so I don't have to try to explain to them what a gem is " he said with a laugh "ok dad"connie grinned.

Connie carried her bags up the stairs leading to her room eventually reaching the top and kicking open the door. She stepped into her room and flopped down onto her bed it was late, she was tired but she REALY wanted to see Steven she decided it was too late and she would send him a message explaining.

S- CONNIE YOUR BACK
C- yeah I just got back a few minutes ago
S- yay. so are you still coming over?
C- no sorry 😐 I'm really tired but I promise I'll cone over tomorrow
S- that's ok you get a good sleep
S-ok I've got to go pearls calling me for something
C-ok bye 👋
S-bye
I put my phone down (this means it's a thought)
He's so kind and considerate that's why I love him
Wait did I just think that no there's no way I can have a crush on my best friend is there?
Connie was pulled out of her thoughts by her phone vibrations she looked at the message

S-goodnight connie I love you

Stevens POV
Why did I send that Why did I send that Why did I send that Why did I send that Why did I send that oh god she probably thinks I'm a creep
Connie's POV
I couldn't believe my eyes he didn't REALY love me did he, no, maybe, no oh well she was going to have to wait until tomorrow something she really didn't want to do but she sadly had no choice.
