Parents use to tell their children stories. About bad guys getting beaten, or the good guys saving the world, without a scratch.
Lies.
Most of the time, they're not.

It's not the world where everyone gets happy ending. Not the one where the good guys always win.
It's dark, with those good guys being lights, little, shining; some of them casting the light even so bright.

It's more often than not that the Angels die, leaving a shadow where there was light. Slowly, all the stars will fade away. Those who burn the brightest flame are often quenched too fast. Too fast to notice, too fast to keep them alight.

Gotham is even more shadowed than most places on Earth. Maybe besides her sister city, Blüdhaven. While Gotham is flooded with freaks and supervillians, Blüd slowly drowns in waves of mob bosses and cartels.

But it's this special time people call 'Halloween' when all the real monsters crawl out of their lairs to bring chaos to the world...

Sure, Jason, play Shakespeare. Who the hell is even gonna read it anyway?
