A/n: hey, second chapter in a day. I dont even know what this chapter is about like i have a whole plan for the next 4 chapters its acc jokes. Well thanks for everything ik its only a few reads but like it means alot to me.

-summer

I walk into the dark court room and sit in my seat. This trial was important. I could defend gavins case and set him free. Or i could keep him in there for another 5 years. The lights turned on as everyone piled in the room. Conner sat next to me and hanks lawyer sat next to conner. As for gavin, it was just him and his lawyer at the desk. I looked over at him and smiled. "Conner, would it be bad if i defended gavin." I said conner just shook his head. He looked at me with worry in his eyes. I looked away, and let a tear escape. I felt a warm hand on my back. I look over at conner, tears rolling down my cheaks.
He looked over at hank and he got the message. "Im sorry, may i take my daughter out for a second." He said. Before anyone could answer he stood up and gestured me to to follow him.
I leave the room and i hug hank tightly. "Hey, no matter what happens, you will be fine Y/N." He said hugging me back. i break down into tears. "I want to defend him," i muttered, "it was my fault i got shot not his." Hank pulls away from the hug and holds me by the shoulders. "Y/N, its your choice, i dont care if you defend him." He said calmly. I hug him one more time before returning to the court.

"Y/N Anderson, do you have anything to add?" The judge asked. I look over to gavin and i stand. "Gavin didnt shoot me, i shot myself," i said, "if gavin shot me, he would have put the gun down and escaped but he didnt." Gavin looked over to me and smiled. "I believe gavin should be released, he did nothing wrong." I continued. The judge nodded and released gavin without any charges. Gavin was able to return to work aslong as he left conner alone. Its not going to be easy being back at work with him but i guess thats life. We all left the court. Conner and hank left to the car. Gavin came up to me and hugged me. "Thanks marshmellow, i didnt think tou would defend me like that." He whispered. I pushed him away and walked towards the car tears streaming down my face. I get to the car and conner gets out. "Y/N, what happened?" He asked. I just ignored him and got in the car. Hank and conner started talking about something but to be honest i wasnt really payin attention. I look in the side mirrors to see conner, he looked at hank with anger in his eyes. Conners deep blue eyes came in contact with mine. I looked away blushing a light pink. Tears still streaming down my cheaks. Hank starts the car and drives to a bar. "The best bar in town, coming Y/N?" Hank said getting out the car. I open my door and conner comes and picks me up. "Can we talk for a minute?" He asked. I nodded amd he carried me to an allyway. He placed me on the floor and began talking. "Y/N are you ok?" He asked. I shook my head looking down at the floor. "Gavin called me m-m-marshmellow." I said. Shit, here come the stutters. I stutter when im nervouse. Its a natural instinct. Conner lifted up my head and looked into my eyes. "Freckles, dont listen to gavin," he said, "he is only trying to get you back." He said. He pressed his lips against mine. For a minute, i thought gavin hated me. He had always made sure i was ok but did he really care or did he just want to use me.
