PS, I hate you

•Chapter 9•

I ended up making it to school on time surprisingly. I spent more time at the coffee shop then i intended too but hey, at least I got the job. I shuffled my way into first period and took a seat. I was immediately greeted by Samara.

"Okay we have to hang out after school! I haven't seen you in what feels like ages." She frowned hugging me

"Samara it's been like three or four days max since we've hung out" I laugh

"Okay then it's decided. Me and Gabe are coming over tonight"

"Actually no, I'm sorry. I start my job at the cafe tonight" I sigh

"What! You got the job? I'm so happy for you!" she smiled "Let me and Gabe know when you're off so we can see you"

"I will" I smiled as the teacher walked in and Samara ran out the class to make it to her first period

I really don't know why she couldn't wait to converse with me till second period. It would've made a lot more sense. That's Samara for you though.

First period went by slowly and it was time for second period.

History.

I still have two more days to print out our paper so I wasn't really stressing. Like I've mentioned, it was a fairly simple project so I didn't have many issues finishing it in one sitting. Jaxon is also way smarter then I thought he'd be. I mean I should've picked up on the fact that we shared honors classes but as I've also mentioned, I'm not very observant.

"So how do you feel about starting at 'The Hideout' tonight?" Gabe asked quickly joining me and Samara during the walk to our second period

"You couldn't just let me tell him." I laughed "it's my news!"

"I know. I know. I'm sorry I just had to let him know we weren't going over tonight. He asked why, what did you want me to say?"

I laughed "yes I do start tonight at the cafe and I'm actually pretty excited. It's a new start and I get paid better. It'll be way easier to save some money with this new job." I say answering Gabe

"Okay I'm happy for you. I'll drive you later." He said waving as he jogged the opposite direction to make it to his second period

"Hi guys!" the teacher greeted as we all got out our history books and directed our attention to the front

Well most of us. I looked over and Jaxon had his headphones in and was staring out the big window that showcased the outside sitting area.

He looked over and caught me staring at him once again. This time he didn't scowl though, surprisingly. His lips curved into a small smile and he waved. I smiled back and turned back to my textbook.

The rest of the school day went by faster then usual and I sped out of my fourth period and made my way to the school parking lot within a minute.

"Serenity wait up!" I heard someone yell behind me

"Yes?" I asked turning around to face him

"Your mom invited me over for dinner tomorrow and I was wondering if we can just add a couple final touches then and print it out at your house." he said catching his breathe

"Sure!" I say smiling "if I don't work that's perfect"

"Another shift at the library?" he asked as we walked to Gabe's car
