Percy POV
As me and Penny ran to our house we ran inside and grabbed towels from our bathroom and surprised the door was open oops I guess that we left the door open by accident.My mom Sally came inside and hugged us so tight.
"Oh my god I am so happy you are safe both you and Penny!"My mom let us go.
"Now I guess you two are wondering why it was all sunny a minute ago then a storm came and thunder too,"my mom said.We both nodded and we sat at the couch and she said the most unexpected thing ever.
"Percy and Penny remember I always told you two stories of the Greek gods and monster,"she said serious,we both nodded.
"Well there real,"she said.
Time skip
*After Sally finishes explaining everything to Percy and Penny*
After my mom finishes explaining I believed her it explained all the weird things that happened to me and Penny and to think those things were monsters.Our mom didn't tell us who our father was sadly but I understood why it hurted my mom when she talks about him.Then my mom gave my a pen and Penny a bracelet she said our dad wanted us to have this.
"Mom this is a pen,a PEN my dad probably hated me or wanted to tease me for not giving me something like what he gave Penny,"my mom laughed but said,
"Uncap it but back it away from me and Penny okay Percy?"
"Okay?"it was more like a question than an answer,I uncapped it it became a sword it said something in Greek that I actually understood that said Anaklusmos Greek for riptide wait how did I know that oh so I'm smart at reading Greek but not English okay that's ......cool, I guess?
"Woah this is so cool mom is this sword used so I could kill monsters?"I questioned.
"Yes Percy now and like I told you if you throw it or drop it,it always come back to you now you could throw it and when it comes back you just put the cap on and it turns it a pen and Penny touch the blue jewel on your braclet,"I threw it as far as it could go in the house and then Penny pressed the blue jewel on her braclet and it turned into a blue glowing sword and the handle was black which made it extra cool and mine extra lame.Penny pointed the sword away from me and my mom before it could hit anybody.
"Wow it's so pretty but if I throw it,it won't come back like Percy's sword right mommy?"she nodded and my sword came back in my pocket but it was already in pen form and Penny pressed the blue jewel on her sword and it became her bracelet and suddenly the storm was right above us and there was a loud BOOM,I flinched and then it started raining outside and the door flew open and then my mom yelled,
"Outside now in the car!"before my mom made it inside the car a lightning bolt struck and it hit me and Penny's mom.
"Mom a-are you okay mom wake up please me and Penny need you to take to the camp," I shouted with my mom on the concrete and with blood on my hands from touching her shoulder and then Penny ran next to me crying.
"Mommy don't go we need you,"Penny said.
"Percy and Penny I love you both very much but I have to go inside the car are your backpacks and all the stuff you will need with a note from me and one from your father with food and clothes in side there too and the address to the camp it is very far and on the way I hope you two learn how to use your weapons remember I love you both very much,"my mom said which I knew where going to be her last words Penny started crying a lot and I comforted her well I tried to since I was crying too and then I dialed 911 on my phone.
"911 what's your emergency?" Said a lady on the phone.
"There was a storm and a lightning bolt struck and killed my mom please I need your help,"I said.
"Okay just tell me your address,"said the lady.
"Okay my address is ##############," I said.
"Okay we'll be right there,"I ended the phone call and told Penny we should go and get our backpacks from our car and she nodded sniffling a little bit from crying.We get our backpacks and take one last look at our house,car and our mom and ran as fast as we could the opposite direction of the sirens which meant we were running to the left of the street and as our house disappeared into the darkness.We ran until our feet hurt and walk into a alley and opened our backpacks mine had a ton of money new clothes and a letter from my dad.Penny's had some clothes,money and a letter from our mom too which made me sad just thinking about our mom and Penny decided to read our mom's note first,it said.
Dear Percy and Penny:
If you are reading this it means I am dead or not here with you and I want you to know that I love you very much and your father is Poseidon and that means both of you have water powers and I want you two to learn how to control your powers  which Poseidon will tell you when you finished reading his letter and that I got both you and Penny a book so that you could draw in it or write is as your diary and that the address to Camp Half-Blood is on the north shore of Long Island and that I wish I was there with you to see Percy's future girlfriend and Penny's future boyfriend
Me and Penny both blushed and laughed at the thought of us having a boyfriend and girlfriend and how our mom would love them
I love you both very much before you two were born Apollo wanted you two to have a magical phone that works anywhere and doesn't attract monsters and I miss you I love you bye
By the time we were finished with the letter we were both crying and how we miss our mom then we starting Poseidon's letter
