                    P.O.V. of Teru

I didn't want Gray to see my tears, so I quickly made my way through the guild members to throw him off. I sighed, wiping my eyes. Why did I run from him? I sat down at the bar, putting my head on my hands and squeezing my eyes shut, repeatedly watching him blush with Erza. Hmph, I haven't even known him for that long- why would I care. I thought this in my head, but tears would threaten to pour out when I let my guard down. "New here? Don't worry, they're loud brats, but they're good." A sudden voice jerkerd my head up, as I looked to see who was talking to me. A short man wearing orange was smiling at me. Ew, I thought, looking at the mans outfit. He smiled kindly at me from his position of standing on the counter top. I straightened up. "Im actually not new here…… I'm not a member." I said, stating this with less and less energy every time I had to say this to another person. He just raised an eyebrow at me, but didn't question. "Ya know…Every kid here has had a bad hand dealt to them; one that they didn't deserve." He stated, as he looked over the guild. I gazed at the tiny man, not interupting- wondering where he was going with this. "Each member here has had bad memories, and lives before they came to Fairy Tail." He said, then paused and took a swig of a mug that Mira ha placed next to him. "But none of that matters!!!" He yelled slaming his glass down, staring me straight in the eyes, i jerked back in surprise. "They all overcame it and new memories were made within the guild. Because this is our home." The man then turned and left with a flushed face, leaving as suddenly as he appeared. I sat in my seat to stunned to move. "Master, are you headed out?" Mira suddenly called. The orange man without turning around called back something about a council. I paused and let everything sink in. "EEHH?!" I screeched slamming my hands on the table and standing. "That's the Master?!" My disbelief obvious. Mira turned and responded her usual 'yes' and a heartwarming smile. I sighed, then turned to wear the Master had just headed out. "Mira?" I said turning back to the counter. "I think I will join………" I said half surprised at my own words. Mira's smile got even happier as she asked where I would like my mark. "Mmmm…… my neck please." I replied, lifting up my chin. I felt something cool on my neck and then she said she was done. I grabbed Master's empty beer mug and looked a my reflection. A rose red marking stared back. My cheeks turned a slight red in pleasure. I was a member of Fairy Tail…… I sat

there, admiring the fairy sitting idley on my neck. "Hee~." I grinned and turned to walk to the request board. This is kinda exciting! I can take any of these jobs… as a guild member! Caught up in giddiness, I didn't notice anyone walk up behind me until an arm wrapped around my shoulder. "New here? Let me take you on your fist job!" A guy with goldish hair and glasses stated, winking. I shuddered, "Uh…No." I made a face and brushed him off. "Ah! You did join!" Natsu yelled excitedly. "Erk," I stuttered, realizing how many times I denied being a member, yet here I am…… contradicting literaly half this things I've said. I froze, as Gray walked up eyes focused at my neck. "You didn't tell me you were joining." The half naked man said, eyebrows raised. "It had nothing to do with you." I turned, completely shutting down the conversation. "Hey, Teru! Let's go on your first job!" Natsu yelled, getting up in my face. I wanted to tell him no, that I wanted to be alone for my first job, but I could see Gray dead on staring, so I smiled at Natsu. "Yeah- sounds real fun!" I answered, watching Gray, but his expression barely changed from the slightly annoyed look I had left him with. Well, whatever. I thought, deciding to focus on my job. My first job.
