Chapter 14

I groaned as I rolled over all I felt was hard ground and it was nearly freezing.

“I hate to be that guy that says ‘if I can’t have her, no one can but…If I can’t have you Sienna…no one can.”

I shot up recalling everything that had happened. Kole rejecting me, Razor shoving Blair off the balcony, Razor dragging me away.

Razor.

I stood up frantically looking around taking in my surroundings. I was in a room with rotting wooden walls and a dirt floor. I ran to the door and shook the door handle but it was locked. I slammed a hand on the door in frustration before noticing how it shook as if it was fragile. I hit the door again and it almost seemed to indent. I stepped back and kicked off my shoes where they clattered across the room. I snaked my foot out hitting the door. I heard wood splinter as I kicked it again, but nothing seemed to happen.

I put my head in my hands as I grew angrier. I resisted the urge to scream as I threw my whole body against the door. The door cracked again as I inevitably bruised my upper arm. I tightened my shoulder and lunged at the door again. This time it gave away and I landed on the ground surrounded by the shattered door. I rolled onto my back groaning again.

I got to my feet on shaky legs. I stumbled farther away from the original room I had been in. I glanced around and saw dirty couches, scattered papers, rotted desks, and a jacket and a suitcase.

I walked over and picked up the jacket; searching the pockets. I noticed that it was the one Razor had worn many times before. There was nothing in the pockets. I threw open the suitcase rummaging through the contents looking for anything important. It was mostly clothes and some food, Razors wallet which had more hundred bills then I wanted to count. The only thing that surprised me was when I picked up the engagement ring I’d been wearing for the past few months. I’d thrown that across my room. Shaking my head I tossed it back in the suitcase before closing it and looking around again.

I noticed that there was a loft above me and a bathroom to my right before seeing a closed door. I sprinted forward and pushed it open breathing a sigh of relief that it wasn’t locked. I was even more relieved when it led outside. I took a few steps outside seeing nothing but a dirt road and forest. Endless forest. I was about to venture farther out when I heard the sounds of tires. I looked back at the road to see a dusty black truck that looked very new driving along the bumpy road that led to the house.

I ran back inside slamming the door behind me. I thought about running back in the room I had woken up in but then remembered how the door was in pieces on the ground. I ran a hand threw my hair which was no doubt in knots.

I hastily climbed the ladder to the loft which is extremely hard in a huge wedding dress like mine. Once I was at the top I was met by boxes, a lot of boxes and a window. I ran to it to see that Razor was pulling paper bags from the truck and that if I climbed out the window I could safely land on the roof, if I didn’t trip off the edge.

I undid the lock before trying to pull the window up, but it was stuck. I put all my arm strength into opening the window; it lurched upwards right as the door opened. I froze as I heard his footsteps echo throughout the building.

The window was small but it was just big enough for me to fit through.

I heard Razor throw his keys on something before I heard the crinkling of paper and more footsteps. I went head first out the window but got stuck around my waist.
