A/N- Davey was fun to write because he just has no clue whats happening. Just like me :) It's really short but I think it's pretty good

"Well would you have a look at this. A new kid." Weasel says, looking straight at me. I go to respond, but Les beats me to it.

"I'm new too!" He squeaks.

"Ey, don't worry kid. It rubs right off." Says a boy whose name I think was Race? That's a weird name. The newsies chorus in agreement as Les buys some papers.

"I'll take twenty newspapers." I say.

"Twenty for the new kid. Well, let's see the dime?"

"I'll pay when I sell them."

"C'mon kid, cash up front." I frowned and stuck my hands into my pockets. That didn't make sense.

"But whatever I don't sell, you buy back, right?"

"Ohhh, well soitanlly! And ev'ry time ya lose a tooth, I put a penny under your pillow. Now drop the cash." I hand over a dime, placing it carefully into the slot as only a few other newsies did. I grab my papers and count them. I only counted 19. I count again. 19. A third time? Still 19. I had to say something, this wasn't fair.

"Um, excuse me?" I ask, easily grabbing everyone's attention. "I paid for twenty, but you only gave me nineteen." A boy with a buttoned up vest, a blue shirt and a perfect jawline grabbed the papers, despite my weak protests and counted them quickly as Weasel and Oscar told me to beat it. "I just want what I paid for." I argued weakly, knowing I couldn't beat them. I was about to give up when suddenly I heard

"Woah, the new kids right Weasel. You gave 'im 19. Now, sure it's an honest mistake on account a' Oscar can't count ya twenty wit 'is shoes on." The newsies laughed loudly, but Oscar looked like he was about to beat this boy up.

"Here. Now take a hike." Weasel shoved another paper into his arms, and I almost missed the boy staring at me. I blushed. What did he want? Why did he help me? Who the hell does he think he is?

A/N- A cliffhanger!!!! Also there's gonna be some Javid I couldn't just not write it because it's great
