*~ ???'s POV ~*

"I see the waves...Crashing down...I hear thy voice...So warm again... I need not worry... needed not cry... fore thou shall be by my side.... once again..." I paused as I turned to look at the wall.

Never continuing on

The writing of the man in the lab coat stopped, and the echoing sound of him placing his pen down filled the void, "Why did you stop singing?"

"I don't know..." I replied, "I don't feel like continuing on..."

He let out an exhausted sigh, "That's not an answer..."

I still stayed quiet

"Or would you like to go back to... 'light' therapy?" He smiled

My heart began to race as I felt my eyes widen

I didn't want to go back

"With you by my side... I can continue on... through these crashing seas... going back to what was ours..."

"That's better..." I could hear the grin as his writings continued on

I hate this man to my core.

~~

The monitor continued on as the emergency generator kicked in

'Bu-dump...'

'Bu-dump...'

'Bu-dump...'

Suddenly she lunges forward

"GASP!"

"Oh you're awake..."

"LET ME GO!!" The mechanical voice talked over my own

"No... you're to valuable..."

Thunk

Thunk

Thunk

"You can't break this one..."

~~~
"Subject 256-A-783 has become quiet...."
"We burned the vocal cords... the subject deafened the operating team yesterday."
"...."
"Pitiful... I wanted to hear the rest of the song...The operation?"
"The removal of an arm was successful..."
"Good... we can try it on the other one then..."
"Subject 653-M-941 is not stable-."
"Make it stable!"
"...Yes sir."
"Good. The faster we get the data, the faster we can retire them."
~~~~

"The introduction of both subjects is quiet the interesting feature. They do not move. They do not fight. The smaller one knows of the bigger ones presence, is to be feared. Animalistic instincts are simple ones. While the bigger one just sits there. She is aware of its presence."
