The city was quiet on a night like this

Stores closed early and people were generally off the street

A woman stood alone on a corner street with a cigarette in hand

The woman looked out of place, business attire within an area like this.

The rain came down beating against the stone and the pavement around her

But her hat kept her head dry, though for her clothes they were already wet

I had came out of my grocery store to lock up for the night but I couldn't help but look at her.

Maybe she was waiting for someone?

They might be getting there soon?

I stood there for a moment and fumbled with my keys

Few cars passed but none stopped

Without thinking I was already back in my store and grabbed a spare umbrella from the cashier stand. Running back into the rain, near got ran over as I went over to her corner and stood above her.
With wide eyes she just glanced up at me and hid under the brim of her hat.

"S'rry ta scare ya' ma'am." I tipped my own soaking hat in the harden rain, "Ya look'd cold so I brought ya an umbrella." Quickly I pulled it out and placed it over her and smiled

The woman paused and looked up with a faint smile, "Danke."

My eyes widen in surprise as a black car pulled up beside us.

She gave a wave and proceeded to get in the car.

A man rolled his window down to give me a look before driving off

That was... odd.

Even as I still stood in the rain I just clutched my sopping hat

"Goodbye..."

I tended to the outside of my store, watering some of the plants in front. Normally at this time of day however, I would have expected for the Ed Brothers walking down this way. Though however I noticed someone standing at the corner of my eye. Their red pants caught my attention as I whipped my head to the side and saw her again. She stood at the corner of the street. Hair swept to the side, a sun hat in August, red pant suit.
Her smoke from the lit cigarette carried above her, as she patted the umbrella clinging to her arm.

"Hey Hero, I - OHGAWD!" Quinn shouted as it was soon replaced by gargling.

I noticed the hose was on my store hand and I quickly went to turn off the hose.

"Why did you spray me!?" The native Lakota waved his hands

"S'rry. I saw someone from the other night." I apologised as I ushered him into the store, "I forgot about the hose."
