Chapter 21 - Crisis on Earth X Part 3

MacKenzie's POV

We're stranded in the hallway

The Nazi's are in the pipeline

Iris quickly looks at me and grabs my arms

"Alright, Mack, you know this building better than any of us." Iris says. "Where can we hide?"

"Um..." I think, looking around. "Um..."

"I hate to rush you, but we are running out of time." Felicity says

Footsteps are starting through the hallway

"Uh,,," I look around and then I see a vent. "In there."

I run over, pulling the grate off and climb in. Felicity and Iris follow my lead, the last person closing the vent

We make our way to over the medbay where Iris looks in to see Kara strapped down

"Did you hear that?" Iris asks us. "Everyone else is on Earth-X."

"And Kara only has a few hours before they go full Mengele on her." Felicity says

"We gotta stop them." Iris says

"Got any ideas?" Felicity asks

"I don't know." Iris says. "Give me some time to think."

"Iris, I'm all for girl power and everything, but how are the three of us gonna stop the meaner, Nazi version of my whatever he is right now and....People with superpowers?" Felicity asks

"We don't have to." Iris says. "We have Mack. And we just need to get to the pipeline and get Cisco. He could turn off all the power to the building and breach us out of here."

"Do you know how to get to the pipeline from here?" Felicity asks

"Let's ask our guide." Iris looks to me

"Yeah, I think so." I say. "But we gotta move quick."

"Lead the way, McClane." Felicity says

"I don't get the reference, but okay." I say

I start crawling down the vent system

"She doesn't know--" Felicity tries

"Not important right now." Iris says

We crawl through the shaft

"Okay." I say, stopping above the grate. "I'll lower myself down and check, if it's not clear I'll pull myself up." I tell them

They nod

I open the grate and lower myself down about halfway, holding a deadman's hang

I look around.

I pull myself up

"Clear."I tell them

I lower myself down slowly again and jump down.

The other two follow

"I know bad guys have inopportune timing, but this is, like, the worst timing ever." Felicity says

"Yeah, tell me about it, sister." Iris says. "Barry and I were just about to get married."

"At least you guys left on good terms." Felicity says. "The last thing I said to Oliver was, 'I don't want to marry you,' and now he's stuck in Nazi world. I mean, what if we never see them again?"

They work on the pipeline computer

"Alright, you guys hack that." I say, forming a plan. "I'm gonna go see if I can get to Kara."
