*Javier's P.O.V*
I drive fast home,I need to talk to Layla and hear what she have to say. I still can't believe what I just found out,it's like my whole perfect world is about to crumble.
I open the door, she's watching a movie in the sitting room. She stands up smiling.
"Hey sweetheart, you're home early!" She comes towards me.
I run my hand through my hair. I don't really know how to start the conversation.
"Layla,I met Teejay today!" I say simply.
Her eyes fly open. "Really,where?"
"It turns out he and Shahid are good friends"
She nods. "Yes they are,we all met at school."
I walk towards her slowly. "So Layla tell me,what does Teejay have to do with us meeting?"
She scrunches up her face. "What do you mean?"
I fist my hands getting angry. "Layla, don't play games with me and don't pretend that you don't know what I'm talking about. I want to hear everything."
She bites her lips. "But Javier...."
I raise my hand up,trying to calm myself down. "Don't but me Layla. I think you heard me clearly."
"Well,I found out about you from Teejay..I mean he told me about you."
"What did he tell you?"
"That you are shahid's boss" she says twisting her hands together.
"So what? Why will he have to tell you that?" I still can't understand what is going on.
"Well,we were just discussing one day and he told me about you." She pauses.
"Continue,I want to hear everything!" I growl,a bit inpatient.
"I was intrigued and wanted to meet you so..." She shifts on her feet, biting her lips.I wait for her to continue.
"So Teejay said he will talk to Shahid if it's possible for us to meet!" She finishes.
"Then.." That shouldn't be the end. I know there is something more.
"Then we met" she smiles a little.
"But you didn't act like you knew or heard about me before we met. And you also acted like you are just seeing Shahid since you left school. " I say, putting everything together.
"Javier, please stop..." She pleads, coming closer to me.
"So everything was planned right, Layla?" I ask, disappointed. She didn't reply so I continue. "Now tell what's real and what's not, because I still can't understand why you acted that way."
She try to hold my hand but I shake her off."tell me what's going on Layla because I'm going crazy here."
She sighs before looking up. "Do you want to hear everything, Javier?"
I put my hands on my waist. "Yes,I want to"
"Promise me,you will listen carefully until I fins"
I nod.
She starts. "After Teejay told me about you,I really wanted to meet you because I like what I hear about you. I'm sorry I behave like it was a coincidence but I want you to notice me and that was the only way. After meeting you,I found out that you beat my expectations and you are really a good man so that's why I accepted to marry you"
"So what was it you heard about me?" I ask,my head hurting. I hate having to talk much.
"That's you're a rich, nice and godfearing guy."  She says shrugging.
"So what part made you accept my proposal?" I ask immediately.
She stutters. "Everything,I just like you. That's all"
I shake my head. "I don't think so,judging by the way you acted, you are just like the rest. All you care about is how fat a guy's pocket is!".
She shakes her head. " no,that is not true, although money is one of the reason, but I considered other things too. And by the way,no lady wants to marry a poor guy. Please believe me?
"How can I believe you, I don't even know what to believe!" I say running my hand through my hair.
I look at her unbelievably. I remember how Shahid always asks me about Layla and if she met my expectations. When Teejay visits and I remember seeing him with Shahid,I wonder why Layla said she haven't seen Shahid for years. Finally when Shahid let it slip about seeing Layla a year ago, it kept ringing in my head and I couldn't hold it in.
I wonder what is real and what's not? She is a woman I have imagined spending the rest of my life with, now I am not sure that's going to happen.  I can't even look at her right now so I walk away.
