"Mina I can't! What your saying doesn't make sense!" Kirishima whisper yelled. Mina rolled her eyes.
"He likes you dimwit! Just trust me and confess already!" Mina yelled, not caring who heard or not.
"I can't, Mina. We're just...we're just friends." Kirishima croked. He cringed at how hard it was to say that. Mina's expression softened.
"Hunny..." she smacked her lips. "Could it be you're denying it? I mean, Baku's not the nicest being on the planet, but he wouldn't do you like that. You're his best TRUE friend. Those are hard to come by these days." Mina smiled. "And besides, I kinda asked if he was gay or not." Kirishima's eyes widened and his face turned a light shade of red.
"What!?"
"Yeah, and I accidentally dropped a hint because he backed me into a corner," she confessed. "So he probably already knows you like him." Kirishima looked away with an awkward smile.
"Actually Mina...umm..." Eijirou buried his face into his pillow and Mina squealed.
"WAIT OH MY GOD!!" She clapped her hands. "YOU FELL FOR HIM DIDN'T YOU!? LIKE—"
"Shh, Mina! Not so loud! He could hear!" Kirishima whisper yelled. "And yes you crazy person. I—I....phelforrm..."
"You what?" Mina leaned in a little closer. Kirishima wanted to hang up, but didn't.
"I fell...very deep. And I don't know if I'll be able to handle rejection," Kirishima solemnly whispered. The girl gave him a pitiful smile and chuckled.
"Just sleep on it okay? You're going back home tomorrow right?" The boy nodded. "I'll come over. And drill your negativity out. It doesn't suit you." She waved bye before hanging up the phone. She sent him a text right after reassuring him that Bakugou likes him, in which Kirishima could help but shake his head.
"There's no way he likes me." Kirishima turned off his phone and sighed.
"And why is that?"
Kirishima jumped with a gasped, his body going ridged. He gulped as he was too paralyzed to turn around.
But he didn't have to. Katsuki quietly went and sat beside him on the couch. He rested his elbows on his knees and laced his hands together. From the corner of Eijirou's eye, he could clearly see the blond was dressed up to sneak out.
Awkward and suffocating silence hung in the air. Kirishima wanted to say something, anything to explain, but his voice wouldn't work at all.
The redhead could feel Katsuki's eyes burn holes into the side of his head, like if he could stare long enough it would offer and explanation.
"What I just eavesdropped on," Blatant, as usual, Kirishima thought. "is it true?" He opened his mouth to say something but shut it, knowing that nothing would come out, so he nodded. Katsuki scoffed. "Say something you i-idiot."
Slowly Eijirou turned his head, finally meeting the ruby eyes he loved so much. He was dressed in all black: a v-neck shirt, a jacket that was unzipped and sweatpants and sneakers. Katsuki's unreadable expression was...peculiar in a way.
Finally, he opened his mouth, recovering from the shock he just endured. "I—I'm sorry I...I don't know what to say..." Katsuki frowned a bit, causing Eijirou's anxiety to skyrocket.
"Why is it that you doubt the expected?" Bakugou questioned. Eijirou furrowed his brows, very confused. Katsuki rolled his eyes. "You know, I doubted raccoon eyes once and was proved to be fucking...wrong." He snarled. "Ugh, I hate that word." Eijirou smiled, and Katsuki seemed to relax a bit. "I dislike pinky with a passion, but when it comes to... love..." Bakugou cringed, he didn't like the idea, but he liked the way it made him feel. "She's almost a fucking wizard. Like, she has a shitty crystal ball the tells her who likes who." Eijirou snorted at the blond humor and blushed when he saw him crack a grin.
