[Pretend that is Aubree and Sophia]

The only thing left of Merle on the roof is his severed hand and the bloody hacksaw and cuffs. The wind picks up and almost suppresses the sounds of Daryl's heavy breathing, one moment Daryl is morning his brother and the next her is examining his crossbow right at T-Dog's head. T-Dog stands straight breathing heavily, he doesn't budge from the line of fire.

I draw back an arrow ready to release if it came to it, Rick pulls out his gun cocking it right to Daryl's temple. "I won't hesitate. I don't care if every walker in the city hears it." Daryl drops his crossbow to his side and starts crying again letting T sigh in relief, Rick uncocks his gun and lowers it.

I follow suit and put away my arrow away lowering my bow. Daryl wipes away a few stray tears, he turns to T-Dog "You got a do-rag or something?" He asks calmly. T-Dog keeps his eyes tight on Daryl as he reaches into one of his many pockets in his pants pulling out a dirty rag. Daryl takes it, bending down examining Merle's hand. He sighs "I guess the saw blade was too dull for the handcuffs." He picks up Merle's hand by one of his fingers examining the cut "Ain't that a bitch."

He wraps Merle's hand up carefully and motions to Glenn. Glenn turns slightly so Daryl can open the backpack. He puts Merle's wrapped up hand in his backpack, Glenn looks at me absolutely horrified. Daryl takes a few steps away from him so I take my chance to turn to Glenn a small smirk playing on my lips.

"I told you to let T carry the bag" He glares at me. "Yeah, yeah" He mutters. "He must have used a tourniquet—maybe his belt. Be much more blood if he didn't." Daryl starts following the trail of blood, Rick motions to Glenn and I telling us to follow him and Daryl. T-Dog starts collecting all of Dale's tools that fell out of the bag when he knocked them over the other day.

Around a corner we find another door leading back into the building. The four of us tread carefully each of us raising our weapons besides Glenn. "Merle? You in here?" Daryl starts calling his voice echoing in the empty stairwell we make our way. In the building, we find ourselves in some kind of receptionist area. A walker turns around her jaw completely hanging off, growling at us Daryl takes her out with an arrow to the head.

T-Dog finally catches up to us as we come across a few walkers dead on the floor their heads smashed in no doubt by Merle. "Had enough in him to take out these two sumbitches one-handed." A bloody wrench lies on the floor beside the second walker, Daryl crouches down pulling back his crossbow loading another arrow.

"Toughest asshole I ever met, my brother." He grunts "Feed him a hammer, he'd crap out nails." Daryl stands up again after loading an arrow just as Rick steps forward holding tightly to his gun examining the body before walking past it. "Any man can pass out from blood loss, no matter how tough he is." We continue following the blood trail over the tile floor "Merle!"
