S3 Ep: 16 "Welcome to the Tombs"

Today was the day, the day we had to fight for our lives. The Prison against Woodbury...our group is split on what we should do but in the end it will come to a fight whether we want it to or not. Breaking out of my thoughts I finished packing the last bag of our medical supplies and carried them outside with Hershel. We handed them off to Beth who stacked them up in the back of the Hyundai, I looked up and saw a stone face Carl. Frowning at him softly I walked around the car and over towards Rick and Glenn who checked the engine of another.

"I've never seen him this mad before...Even with Lori." Glenn nodded and added "He just shut down." Rick sighed and looked over his shoulder at his son "He's still a kid. It's easy to forget." He shut the hood of the car and walked away from us, I looked to my left when I felt Glenn's warm hand intertwine with my freezing one. "We made it through the first fight. We're gonna be okay" He assured, I nodded slowly and squeezed his hand before hugging him tightly "I love you" He cradled the back of my head in his one hand and wrapped his other arm around my back.

"I love you too" He said into my hair before pulling away and placing his lips on mine "Be safe. Come back to me un injured this time please. I'd like to see my wife again" I chuckled bitterly and nodded "Always" I kissed him again like it was my last chance not knowing what might happen on my trip with Rick to Woodbury. "Alright, alright let me have my turn" Maggie's voice broke us up and she instantly pulled my smaller body into hers. "If you don't come back for him come back for me. Ya hear?" I nod with a small laugh "You keep him safe to while I'm out" she nods "Yes ma'am"

"I love you Mag's" I breath into her shoulder. "I love you too Bree" We both reluctantly pulled apart so I could climb into the truck along with Michonne and Rick and we took off behind Daryl on his bike set towards Woodbury to finish the job. Not far from the prison we had to stop in the road to take out what seemed to be some of the Governor's army that he shot down himself. I pulled out my machete from my sheath on my waist and took out three of the walkers while Michonne and Daryl took out the others.

Rick walked forward towards a jeep and killed the last walker while I shook off my machete and stopped in front of the army truck. I looked around making sure there were no more when someone pounded on the door. I spun around and backed up as Rick held his gun to the random woman and Daryl opened the door. The dark haired woman jumped out with her hands up, all four of us held our weapons to her and she kept still. "My-my names Karen. The Governor killed them all...he just..he just shot them all down like it was nothing." Rick slowly lowered his gun but glanced at us telling us to keep our guards up as we did the same. "We're on our way to Woodbury. You're gonna get us in"

Daryl and Rick took the lead through the darkness towards Woodbury with their rifles up while Michonne and I took up the back making sure to keep Karen between us at all times. As soon as we got close enough to the wall they started firing which led to Daryl and Rick firing back as the rest of us ducked for cover behind an old truck. I fliped my rifle around my shoulders and sat by Michonne as we continued fire until it seized so everyone could reload. Karen took her chance to jump up with her hands high "Tyreese! It's me! Don't-"

Rick grabbed her arm and pulled her back "Get down!" No one fired yet "Karen! Karen, are you okay?" Much to Rick's dismay Karen jumped up again and walked forward yelling back to Tyreese "I'm fine!"

"Where's the Governor?" He asked as she walked out from the side of the car "He fired on everyone. He killed them all."

"Why are you with them?"

"They saved me." Rick glanced back at the three of us and gave us a look before calling out to Tyreese "We're coming out! We're coming out." Daryl gave Rick a pointed look and huffed before going back to the other side of the car to grab his things. Rick stood up followed by Daryl then Michonne and I. We each lowered our weapons and held up our hands showing we meant nothing as we walked towards the gate with Karen. "What are you doing here?" Tyreese questioned calmly "We were coming to finish this until we saw what the Governor did." Rick explained and Tyreese furrowed his brows.

"He ... he killed them?" Rick nodded "Yeah. Karen told us Andrea hopped the wall going for the prison. She never made it. She might be here." Tyreese sighed and nodded for us to follow him. He shut the gates behind us all as we walked through the town making our way to where the Governor held Glenn and I. "This is where he had Glenn and Aubree." Tyreses's eyes widened "The Governor held people here?" Daryl scoffed "He did more than hold them." I swallowed thickly trying to shake the images out of my head "And he wasn't easy going" Daryl glanced back at me checking me over to make sure I was okay. I nodded which he responded with a curt one as we came to a stop out front one of the rooms.

Blood had overflowed onto the floor and spread out underneath it into the hallway. "Will you open it?" Michonne asked Rick who only nodded before gripping the handle "One, two..." He pushed open the door revealing a lit room with a walkerfied Milton on the ground in front of a chair. Michonne looked around the wall where a pair of feet stuck out she rushed in "Andrea!" Michonne and I crouched down next to her, she held her up while I checked her temperature with the back of my hand.

"I tried to stop them." She breathed out to Rick who crouched to my left "You're burning up." I told her sadly having an idea of what happened, Andrea slowly pulled away her shirt collar with Michonne's help to reveal a deep walker bite. "Judith, Carl, the rest of them..." Rick leaned down to her "Us. The rest of us." Andrea swallowed thickly "Are they alive?" Michonne brushed back Andrea's hair with her hand and helped hold her up with her body as I held the blondes slightly blood hands in mine.
"Yeah, they're alive." Rick assured her with a small nod, Andrea smiled around at us until her eyes landed on Michonne's.

"It's good you found them. No one can make it alone now." She looked up at Daryl who shook his head "I never could." Andrea looked down to her lap and used her small amount of strength to squeeze my hands as she raised her head to meet Rick's eyes. "I just didn't want anyone to die." Rick looked at her and I could tell he was trying to keep calm, Michonne and I set Andrea up so her back was flat against the wall.

"I can do it myself." I shook my head, blinking back tears "No." She sighed "I have to. While I still can." Michonne and I both let out shaky breaths, I looked down at mine and Andrea's hands. "Please? I know how the safety works." I let go of Andrea's hands as Rick handed her his gun. "Well, I'm not going anywhere." Michonne announced making Andrea smile slightly, she glanced up at Daryl and the two of them shared a look before she looked back at Rick.

"I tried." She whispered and he nodded "Yeah. You did. You did." I stood to my feet and waited outside with Rick, Daryl, and Tyreese until the gunshot went off telling us Andrea was gone.

We pulled into the prison courtyard followed by a few cars and a bus from Woodbury that included most of the people of the town. Glenn wrapped me in his arms once he saw me, I melted into his arms and when we pulled away Carol and Maggie walked towards us both with the same expression. Where is Andrea? "Andrea..?" Carol started and I shook my head swallowing my tears. Glenn held me tighter to his side with his arms around my waist as the four of us quietly mourned our friend.

Next chapter is season 4 EEE!! If you didn't notice I did skip 3 episodes of season 3 from last Chapter to now mainly because a lot of the story line took place in Woodbury or between Rick and the Governor. I tried to find a way to fit Aubree into it but I just couldn't get it to work the way where I was happy with it.

I am so excited for season 4 so much happens there a lot of medical things involved so we are going to get to see Doctor Aubree peaking out at times. I do have to say it's gonna take me a bit just because I am trying to figure out where I want her to go at the mid of season 4 when everyone gets split up. I have a good idea but I want to change it up a bit.
