Walls

And slowly she felt it come up.
One brick at a time
Slow and consistently, Her heart made a decision, never to be subjected to this torment ever again.
This felt so much different from everything she has ever felt , but she just didn't want it ever again.
The blow she was recently dealt defiled all willingness to keep living.
The heart had cracks now that can't be mended, so it took actions to ensure it never goes further.
So one brick at a time she made her wall.
She had one already by default.
Ha! That wall made it clear years ago that it couldn't be trusted around certain people.
Someone knew how to always get through.
But this time, its different.
She didn't put up this wall herself,
Her entire being made that decision without the clearance from her brain.
They just did what they had to do to survive.
Survival is the only thing these cells understand and so to them that default wall threatened the very core of that survival.
So she only let her heart do its thing.
Brick by brick she did nothing to stop it.
Gradually now until one day finally comes ,
The day she will finally be about to feel nothing.
But until then, with every tear she shade , the wall gets a tiny earthquake.
The heart tries to rethink the importance of this wall,
Maybe it's for the best it thinks
Or maybe not
But it can't stick around to be certain
So its makes a last decision, maybe it's better to just watch from behind the walls
