Felicity
Stevie left her to let her get dressed after she had been able to calm her down. Felicity hadn't felt that kind of love in a very long time and she was feeling fluttery. She changed into a pair of bell-bottoms and an aqua bell sleeve chiffon blouse. She did her hair half up half down and slid her brown wooden clog like seventies-style sandals on.
When she got downstairs the zoo of animals was playing together and it seemed like Brooke, Adam, Stevie, and Lindsey were getting along.
"Hi." She smiles looking down.
"Hey, I was just about to make the burgers one or two?" Her father questions.
"Just one. I'll mostly eat potato salad...Daddy, do you think we could get some cherry pie for dessert." Felicity gives him the Stevie Nicks identical smile that Lindsey could never say no to.
"Sure, we'll go to Walmart after lunch. What car do you guys have?" Lindsey questions motioning to Adam.
"I have a Range Rover. It seats five but we already had to disconnect one kids' car seat to let Mom sit." Adam explains.
"Well, my truck seats six. We can take that. My kids are grown so we won't have to worry about carseats, and I don't mind driving." Lindsey smiles molding the hamburger patties.
"I don't mind either but should you be driving?" Adam asks.
"I'm fine. My surgery was six months ago. I can drive." Lindsey state.
"Are you sure." Adam is concerned and he has every right to be.
"I am sure. Don't worry about me." Lindsey states placing the burgers on the griddle.

By the time they had finished their lunch, they were climbing into Lindsey's truck, Felicity between her brother and sister in law.
"Daddy, plug me in." She demands.
"Steph plug her in?" Lindsey turns to Stevie in the passenger seat.
"What do you mean?" Stevie questions.
"She's handing you her phone charger plug it into the USB port." Lindsey points to the small square plugin.
Stevie does and in almost an instant, her voice fills the car speakers, Edge of Seventeen to be exact.
"So you like my music?" Stevie looks back.
"It's what we were raised on. I think Charlotte knew that her kids had a connection to Fleetwood Mac." Adam answers before Felicity.
"That, or she was just obsessed with Lindsey Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac." Felicity answers.
The car goes quiet except for the radio and all of a sudden Felicity starts singing harmony with her mother's recording. Stevie stops and looks at Lindsey, he cocks a sly smile and keeps on driving. When Edge of Seventeen finished Rooms on Fire started. In the song, there are several long notes and when the twenty-five-year-old belted them, out she never cracked.
Eventually, they move onto Bon Jovi and Stevie turns around in her seat.
"Sweetheart that was amazing." She grins.
"What?" Felicity questions.
"Your singing," Stevie replies.
"I didn't realize I was," Felicity says looking up from her phone.
"You always do when you're in the car." Brooke nudges her.
"Oh, I...i'm sorry. It just comes naturally I guess. I don't realize I'm singing unless I'm at work when I have to sing for certain people.
"No, don't be sorry you can sing harmony like no other. I almost want you to play a Fleetwood Mac song so I can hear your harmony with your father and me, not just me." Stevie grins.
She changes the song on her phone several times before stopping at Twisted. Now she knows she's on display so nerves bubble in her stomach but she sings it anyway. And the combined harmony of Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Felicity Buckingham fills the car.
At Walmart, the first stop, of course, is the bakery where Felicity throws a cherry pie in the cart and a thing of mini red velvet cupcakes. Lindsey snorts and she looks back at her father.
"What?" She asks.
"You are so your mother." He shakes his head as Stevie gently hits his stomach.
"She can be like me. I rather appreciate it." Stevie smiles running her fingers across Felicity's back.
They meander around the store when they get to the baby aisle. Felicity takes a turn and Lindsey looks at her. "Why?"
"Gemma." Felicity states.
Stevie brightens up at the mention of her granddaughter and she follows the child into the baby section. Stevie stops at a little baby set. It's teal with a little dove in the center of it and the matching teal pants are covered with many white things, Stevie notices a couple doves on the paints as well as some trees and clouds, she also grabbed a two pack of dresses. The first was burgundy with white polka dots on it and the second one was white with pink red and burgundy flowers on it. Then she found a burgundy one piece with a pair of navy blue pants with burgundy, light pink, and blue-y white flowers on it and a matching headband bow.
"Mom, slow down. the kids got a lot of clothes." Adam laughs. Stevie pouts looks down at her hands and goes to start putting some things down.
"Oh NO, no don't put them back. Gemma outgrew her 6-9 month clothes and I had to go on a shopping spree anyway. I brought a lot of them to the hospital. We have something for babies who get...placed up for adoption..." Brooke looks between the four and bites her lip.
"Like you give babies that are put up for adoption clothes?" Lindsey questions.
"To an extent. When babies are put up for adoption, a lot of them don't come from very loving homes. Adoption centers can't afford to buy clothes and things for the babies so we send them with a diaper of bag of ten or twelve outfits a range of sizes from newborn to 12 months. I donated all of Macey's clothes when she grew out of them because I didn't think we were going to have another baby. Gemma was kind of an accident." Brooke replies sheepishly.
"So I can go all out?" Stevie questions her face lighting up.
"Hell you can buy the other kids things too....Just to be clear, we don't just want your money. I just think that it wouldn't be fair if you got Gemma things and not them." Brooke says quickly.
"Honey, I was going to buy them things anyway." Stevie laughs re-grabbing all of the outfits she had but the next couple of sizes up.
She also grabbed several outfits for the other two and when they finally got back home Stevie made them promise that she'd get to meet the grandchildren soon.
While they ate their pie that night Felicity felt a bubble of happiness as she looked around her family.
"I wish we could stay like this forever," Felicity admits.
"Honey..." Stevie sighs.
"I know..." Felicity nods.
They part that night, Adam shaking his father's hand and Stevie encompassing her daughter in her arms.
"I love you...Please, tell me you know that." Stevie sighs into her shoulder.
"I do. I know, and I love you." Felicity replies.
Everyone wipes tears from their eyes and Adam, Brooke, and Stevie leave. The tears stream quickly down Felicity's face and Lindsey just takes her into his arms.
