We laid side by side, bodies wrapped around each other. It was silent, but there was no awkwardness about it. It was peaceful, happy. He was messing with my hair with his other hand, a small smile on his face.

"I'm sorry" he whispered once again. I sighed, rolling onto my side to face him.

"Luke. It's fine, okay?" I said, and he pulled me into a hug. I giggled slightly into his chest, before pushing him away. My hands flew to my mouth, my face going deep red.

"You're cute when you giggle" he smirked. I slapped him on the arm, hiding my face behind my hands. He pulled them away, kissing my cheek.

"Stop covering your face, you're beautiful" he whispered.

"I'm not beautiful, Luke" I said, bringing my knees up to meet my chin.

"You are, you are so amazingly, breathtakingly beautiful" he said quietly, and I felt a single tear roll down my cheek as I shook my head.

"This isn't going to last, is it?" I whispered, and he turned his head slightly, confused.

"What?" He asked.

"When we get back to school, it's going to go back to the way it was." I said, tears forming in my eyes.

"Don't cry, please don't cry" he whispered, holding me tightly in his arms. I pushed him away, running into the bathroom. I locked the door, hearing him run after me. I cried on the floor, my hand grabbing a razor from under the sink. I brought it down to meet the soft skin of my arm.

"Rose, please don't do anything stupid!" Luke called, making me cry harder.

Stupid? Was it really stupid to release my emotions?

The door swung open, Luke falling to my side. He tore the now bloody razor from my grip, placing it out of my reach. He let his own tears fall at the sight of what I'd done. I didn't look him in the eye, instead screwing my eyes shut. I could feel him putting pressure on my arms, but I couldn't watch. He didn't deserve this, to be looking after me. I heard him curse under his breath, and I felt my head swirl.

"Rose, don't fall asleep, can you stay awake for me?" he asked, nervously shaking me. My eyes slowly opened, focusing on his face. I could only keep them open for a few seconds, which was enough time to see my arms. Blood gushed out, all over me and Luke.

"Finn? Get home now. It's an emergency." I heard him say, vaguely hearing a rushed reaction over the phone from Finn. A hand gripped mine, making my eyes reopen. I strained my eyes to stare at Luke, who was crying as he pressed a towel on my arms.

"I'm sorry" I whispered, and he shook his head.

"Don't be sorry. It's okay." He said, locking his eyes with mine.

"Am I going to die?" I asked quietly.

"You're going to be okay, you're going to be fine" he said, his voice shaky from the sobs escaping his mouth. I heard the door swing open, watching as Finn rushed to us.

"Crap, what happened?" he said, grabbing his phone.

"Don't ring her" I muttered.

"I have to ring Mum, Rose" he said.

"I'll be fine!" I croaked out, pulling my arms away from Luke and standing up. My knees wobbled, but I stayed on my feet.

"Rose, sit down" Luke said, jumping up beside me.

"Luke. I'm fine" I said, trying to be convincing.

"This isn't fine" he said, gesturing to my cuts.

"Luke, this happens all the time. Who cares!" I screamed, grabbing the first aid kit and rushing into my room. I locked the door, falling to the floor. My trembling hands grabbed bandages, clumsily wrapping my arms. When my arms were fully bandaged, I shakily walked to my bed, falling onto it. I heard Luke and Finn banging on the door, and I sighed. I opened it, being pulled into a hug.

"Don't do that again" Luke whispered, holding me as close as possible. I was lifted off my feet as he pressed me into his chest and nestled his face into my hair. I hugged him back, guilt filling me.

"I'm sorry" I said, kissing him lightly before falling back into his arms.

"Come on, lay down" he whispered, picking me up and carrying me to bed. He tucked me in, before getting in beside me. I rested my head on his chest, listening to his soft heartbeat.

"You two are cute together" I heard Finn say. I looked to see him leaning against the doorframe, a small smile on his face.

"I guess we are" Luke said softly, kissing my cheek.
