The sound of breaking exploded through the air. Pieces of broken glass flew vertically and gravitation spun them, their sharp tips dangerously aimed down.
Chuuya was extending his arm so his muscles ached as he was flying down, towards the falling man.
Dazai must have heard the noice because he looked up. From the position he was, head downwards, his feet obscured the view so he had to twist his neck. Recognizing who that was, his face turned in what some people would say, a grimase. Brown eyes were wide as two sauces, brows were twiching and mouth was twisted in a pitful grin that evolved in a smile. He knew Chuuya attempts to save him, but that was all uselessly. He'd decided his fate and nobody, not even him will steal that away from him.
Pushing himself away downwards from the glass using his feet, he flew from the invisible vertical line rimming his way to the ground. Three, four meters from the building weren't much, but he quickened the pace. He was fully facing Chuuya and his desprate face. He called after him, but Dazai spread his hands, like a bird with broken wings, welcoming death with open arms. Mouthing 'thank you' he closed his eyes and smiled, painfully blissful expression flashing his entire face.
Instead of pain he prepared himself for, he felt a blow in his torso and two strong, stiffed hands wrapping around him. He shut his eyes so thigh that white dots disarranged the darkness behind his eyelids.
Before he'd had a clue, Dazai heard another sound of shattering, flying through the air, glass cutting his right cheek and something hard hitting his head. The next thing was darkness.

"Chuuya! Get up! They're coming, get up!"
Dazai hoped, prayed Chuuya, covered in blood, was just sleeping, just unconscious. Fear to check his pulse was too big due to possibility of stilness he might feel.
"Can you hear me? Plase, get up!"
Though his legs were in pretty bad shape for running, let alone running away from enemies on a long distance, he refused to save only himself even if it was the thing he could actually do. Hiding was his speciality, but he neglected his need for living, yeah, living, for the sake of a boy in his arms. Boy that should be celebrating his 17th birthday in 10 days.
Brunet watched with only his left eye in fear as enemies of Port Mafia were on 100m from the place next to a very big mansion Chuuya and him tried to detonate. Mansion in the forest was the HQ of the small organization that's been interupting Mafia's business and killing their men. Unfortunately, it was too late to run when they had figured out there was nothing inside except the explosive when the whole structure shook and fell apart by an explosion their enemies have set specially for Double Black.
"You can do it! Wake up! Please, don't do this!" Dazai cried.
Enemies encompassed two boys with riffles on light, without any sort of compassion or sence of mercy. One man, Dazai assumed was the leader, stepped forward.
"You have two options. First - we kill you right now or the second - we keep you alive in condition you join us," he declared metter-of-factly.
Dazai glared in disgust at him. He pulled Chuuya to his chest and gripped him as thightly as he could, but careful to not hurt him. If he was alive, that's it.
"Well?"
"If I accept, will you help him?"
Man raised an eyebrow. "Can't you see? He's dead."
