I rushed down the stairs and stormed over to Deceit. "What do you want now? Did you really have to come here now of all times?"

"I little birdie told me that someone was trying to escape," he smirked.

"Yeah. I think it was this one," I said, flipping him off.

Patton gasped as he made his way into the room. He slapped my hand down and frowned with disappointment. With the shake of his head, he tugged me away from Deceit and plopped me down on the couch.

Deceit stared quizzically at Patton for a moment before facing me. "You made a promise, Virgil, and now it's time to leave."

"Promise? Virgey, what is he talking about?" Patton asked worriedly.

"It's nothing, Pat. Ignore him," I insisted.

"Oh, would you look at that!" Deceit gasped. "Have you not told him yet? That's really a shame, Virgil."

"What does he mean?" Logan asked, appearing next to Patton.

I felt my heartbeat speed up as I stared at the two of them.

They're going to hate you. More than they do now, and it's all your fault.

I backed away from Patton and Logan, but a hand on my back stopped me before I could move more than a few steps. I spun around and saw Deceit smiling down at me evilly, his eyes turning a bright shade of yellow.

My breath hitched as he grabbed onto the front of my hoodie and tugged me towards him. Our noses touched, and I felt the scales on the side of the man's face.

"Tell them, Virgil."

"I-I've joined the Dark Sides," I whispered, my mind went blank for a quick second before my thoughts returned to me.

Deceit let go of me and threw me into the stair rail next to us.

My head hit the wooden rails, sending a wave of pain sparking through my skull. I cried out and fell to the floor, clutching my head in my hands.

The deceitful trait laughed and looked down at me with a smile. "Remind you of old times? They were quite fun, weren't they?"

"What?!" Patton screeched. "You joined them? Why?"

"You said that you intended to rescue Roman, but they are apparently much more than that," Logan stated with disgust.

He's turning them against you. They'll never listen to you again.

I stood up slowly, trying my best to ignore the ringing sound in my ears. "Guys, please listen to me for a second. It's not like that."

"T-Then how is it then? You betrayed us for him," Patton sobbed into Logan's shoulder.

"I did it to..." I stopped as Deceit stared directly at me. His face was empty of all emotion. He knew that I knew his plans and intentions, making me remember something that had never happened years ago.

"Virgil, where did you go?" Deceit called out, running down the hallway towards my room.
The door swung open, making me scream in fear.

"I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!" He said, kneeling down beside me.

"Don't come near me!" I cried. "You... you hurt me, De."

The deceptive trait reached out for my arm and pulled me to him.

I yelped, and he let go in surprise. When he asked what he did wrong, I rolled up the sleeves of my purple sweater to show him the fragile skin that I always kept hidden from him and the others.

Deceit covered his mouth with his hand as he gasped. "I-I didn't know. Virgil, I'm so sorry."

I stared deep into his eyes, and I was filled with terror as I realized the true meaning of his words.

'I'm so sorry.'

It was something that he always said when he hurt me, but he was the lying trait. He was the cause of Thomas's lies, so could I believe anything that he said to me? Did he really mean any of the things that he said, or were they just lies?

"You really do hate me, don't you?" I asked, tears falling down the sides of my face.

"What? What are you saying?" Deceit panicked. "I never did anything!"

"Get away from me!" I screamed, standing up and running to the door.

As I looked back, Deceit was watching me with a face that was empty of emotion. His eyes slowly turned from brown to yellow.
That was the first time that ever happened.

"I did it to save you," I said. "It's time that I finally tell you all something that I've been hiding for a long time."

Deceit smirked and leaned against the wall while motioning to continue.

I sighed and turned to face Logan and Patton. "I'm Thomas's anxiety, so it is my job to—"

Deceit coughed to get my attention, causing me to roll my eyes.

"What now?" I asked irritably.

"I think it would be better if your little friend listened in to this fascinating conversation," he announced. Deceit snapped his fingers, and a smoky wall appeared, showing Roman in his cell. "Oh, Roman, you should definitely listen to this."

"Virgil!" He exclaimed, reaching out for me. "You're alright!"

"Roman," I smiled sadly, holding back my tears. "There's something that I need to tell all of you. It's about Thomas."

Roman nodded his head and told me that he would listen to anything that I had to say. I doubted that he would even say the same after all of this. Unfortunately, with Deceit here, I had no choice now but to tell them.

"As I said earlier, I am Thomas's anxiety, which means that I have to keep a lot of things from you," I began.

"We know, kiddo," Patton said, glancing at me and then at Roman, who looked even more miserable than he did when I saw him less than an hour ago.

I glanced around the room at everyone as I took a deep breath and said, "One of those things is that Thomas almost died, and it was my fault.

Yeah it's me again. I've been really busy with school and I might possibly need Thomas's next video for the next few chapters. If I don't update for a bit, that's why, but I'll be back again sometime this month. Bye for now and until next time!
